Worked fine on my 3.6.4, although I did have to relocate the navbar code to get it to work..

Thanks

Neo_obs 03-21-2007 06:34 PM

My users are saying that there is a 5 minute wait time between reports... Not sure if its your hack or VB but can you please help me decrease this time. maybe 1 minute or less.

This is changeable in your vBulletin settings.

Please go to

Code:

http://yoursite.com/admincp/options.php?do=options&dogroup=email
(Or vB Options -> Email options)

Then change the Email Flood Check to whatever you wish

LouiseDM 04-01-2007 08:15 AM

oo thanks i better post :)

Distance 04-01-2007 10:09 AM

Thanks.

There are no problems with my template instructions.

yaworski 04-16-2007 05:52 PM

I wonder if this would be possible, to split the closed state for report to closed (accepted) and closed (rejected). It would be also great to have a status page with ranking of users' reports (for example: top100 accepted reports, top100 rejected reports etc).

----edit----

Oh and I found that this is not XHTML friendly. You forgot to close <option> tags in postreports.php.

Burley 04-21-2007 03:23 PM

Great hack, will most definitly click install when my new board is up&running.

I installed it on my test board (3.6.5) which went fine, but when a user clicks on "your post reports" link and it takes you there, the table is much wider then the actuall width of my board.

I'm not sure if this has something to do with your hack or with my settings, but none of the other seem to cause this problem.

edit: added a screenshot

Paul Janowitz 04-26-2007 10:23 AM

Burley, it's most likely because your comment has no line break ;)

Burley 04-26-2007 10:58 AM

:D

But still, is there a way to make sure that that never happens?

rowlandc 04-27-2007 02:38 PM

@ Paul : I'm pretty sure you can't. If you just break the link it should be fine. :)

I've got one question before I install. Is it already implemented that when the topic is closed after a certain amount of days it will delete itself?

No, why would this delete a topic?

If you mean delete the report then no, although I have noted the suggestion.

I am not going to be extending this hack.

I have not forgotten to close any tags.

Burley 05-08-2007 10:35 AM

Distance, when I turn the email function off, the mods disables itself as well.
Didn't you fix this? I thought you said you did.

I fixed the problem where if the email option was turned off it would not work but the report system still works as usual..

The problem you are facing isn't really a bug.. When all the options for report posts are turned off the vB post report system disables itself. Which is logical as it thinks there is no way for you to view it anyway.

Try making a forum that is hidden to all and put that as the post reports here forum.

Burley 05-11-2007 08:57 PM

I did that, but then I also have to enable the e-mail function, otherwise it doesn't work right?

Distance 05-13-2007 10:44 AM

No. Only a post in forum option needs to be turned on.

Domenico 05-14-2007 02:56 PM

Hi,

What about adding the following functionality to this hack -> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=147229

Thanks!

Advanced Report Post Management System
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=137031

The hack above is offcourse a very good and much used one but when 20+ people report the same post it kind of loses its functionality.

What about a hack/add-on (to this hack?) that let the users know that the post is already reported (x times and why?) where the admin can set a maximum of reports that can be send about the same post/thread. Maybe it can be shown in the thread but it can also be a new page after clicking the report button. When the max report is reached the report button/option disappears.

I hope someone can make this much needed hack/plugin/add-on.

Thanks!

Crystal Shards 05-14-2007 03:59 PM

Installed!

It took a little to understand what you meant by template changes but I got it!

~Crystal

Domenico 05-14-2007 04:36 PM

The date doesn't change after adding a comment or changing the status.

Thanks man!

Another thing the moderators on the forum ask is if it is possible when you click the link to see all open reports, that for every open report you also see a link to the forum where the report thread for the moderators is created. Is this clear?

Domenico 05-22-2007 08:59 AM

Another great thing would be that if you close a report the comment is placed as last post in the thread where mods are discussing the report and that the thread is closed. Can this be done?

SOL-R 06-06-2007 07:27 PM

Distance, can the buttons that are in the modcp be put on the quick links menu and how would that be done? If it is possible? (the ones that show open and closed reports)

Thanks

R.

Great mod btw!

goldenllama 06-29-2007 01:36 AM

Absolutely love the mod. Thanks!

Is there a way that I'm overlooking to delete reports? I like leaving most of them closed, but I would like to delete a couple. Is this functionality built in and I'm just not finding it? Or is there a way to do it a different way?

Thanks again!

Lemik 07-11-2007 09:15 PM

when there'll is the new version, improved?

Distance 07-21-2007 10:28 PM

Theres not going to be an improved version.

I use the new version on my forum, it has java popups and ajax etc

SOL-R 07-24-2007 11:56 AM

Hi Distance! I wanted to move the open and closed buttons out of the modcp so, I came up with this code. I am not sure if it is right or the best way to code it. I am still learning alot but would like input on this.

PHP Code:

<!-- added menu items post reports -->

<
tr><td class="thead">Post Reporting</td></tr>
<
tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="postreports.php">Your post reports</a></td></tr>
<
tr>
<if
condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo,5,6,7)">
<
td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="modbook.php">Moderator handbook</a></td></tr>
<
tr>
<if
condition="$vbulletin->openreports"><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$modcpdir/postreports.php?do=list">$vbphrase[postreports_postreports]</a>:&nbsp;$vbulletin->openreports</if></td>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<if
condition="$postreport[status]=pending"><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$modcpdir/postreports.php?do=list">$vbphrase[postreports_status_pending]</a>:&nbsp;$vbulletin->openreports</td></tr>
<
tr>
<if
condition="$postreport[status]=closed"><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$modcpdir/postreports.php?do=closed">$vbphrase[postreports_closedreports]</a>&nbsp;$vbulletin->closedreports</td></tr></if></if></if>

<!-- /
end added menu items -->

That will give you this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2007/07/2.png

Did I do this right? Or is there a better way how to write it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Richard

LiLSnooP 07-24-2007 04:41 PM

when appear the new version 2.10 ?

bigfoot 08-05-2007 09:48 PM

This seems to be a very great system, but it creates both a thread and an entry in your system when reporting a thread/post.

Any information how change this ?

How can i fix this?
Thanks

Great plugin, just what we needed at our forum. However, found some "bugs" or perhaps it's just a flaw. Users who just moderates a few forum gets a message telling them how many reported posts there are in their forum, but if they check the modcp they can see and handle all the post reports and not just the posts in their forums.

Would be great if you can change/fix that, because I don't want some random board mod to be able to handle all the reports. :p

I agree, in addition to that I'd really love to see the reports being grouped by threadid, and perhaps even allow closing multiple reports, that'd really help to speed things up when there are a lot of reports waiting for action - saves the endless reloading.
