Thats all.. i would love to see in this Invitation System.
First, I want to say thanks to the maker of this hack. This is awesome one!
But, I would like to see these feautures added, and some more, just like:
  • Limit users invitations by usergroup(so admins have unlimited invites, other groups have X invitations)
  • Give X invitations to users in specified usergroup per time period.

EDIT: Forgot to click install...
EDIT2: Installed, but disabled this product as it doesn't work. Says: "Your invite is either not valid or has already been used." - hopeing for fast fix ;)

Except I have to warn you - that is a script by a 3rd party (http://www.addressbookimport.com/main/). These 3rd parties all sell the same script that does not work correctly and that is highly insecure. If you want something that truly works, you might want to check out vS-Invites System...

This is the fully functional version of the Script.
It can be deployed on any webserver with PHP and cURL support.
The source code for the actual script should only be purchased.
The only catch is: we will let you use these scripts for as long as
you want, but all of the user's contact addresses will be stored on
our server and can be used for some marketing purpose. If you
don't want us to store the contacts, then you have to purchase
the Scripts.

i love this hack but can i request that you add the feature to turn the original registration system on and off so admins can get both registraions throught normal traffic and through invites??? with the option to turn the normal system off....

Ive also seen a similar mod but its used msn and yahoo contact lists to send your invite, sadly i cannot find this, does any know about this?? could you even add something like this into the system.

Yes, there is a commercial hack available that has msn and yahoo grabbers - see my signature if interested.

Did anyone get this to work? I like Visionscripts commercial product but their customer support is not so hot (all my post with legitimate sales issues were deleted).

If someone thinks they can build an invite system as simple as Gmail's send me a message with a price.

This mod would be awesome if the regular registration form was left open. Another feature I thought of was the ability of already registered members to send out invites, and the admin can see via the admincp who has accepted, who hasn't, who sent the invite and the message sent etc. The user who sent the invite shouldn't be able to see any of the above information.

If I could code, I would make an invite system like what I have describe above.

That said, nice work Mr_Snob. Hopefully we will see more features built into this as time goes on.

A great thought - not working though - It would be an ideal way of promoting site with invitation system - but i'd also like to have the normal way of registration - de-installed!

We work now for 2 weeks with the invitation systeem on the vbulletin 3.6.8 and it works great.
No problem at all.

Well, I decide to install this because I really like this function in my forum. I got the same error:

"Your invite is either not valid or has already been used."

This look very promissing, would be nice if the update comming soon.

If this worked it would be worth even paying for. Very nice idea now if it would work on the newer releases.
