This should be easy to accomplish with some of the hacks out there like the buddies, profile comments, if you have a gallery like photopost, it should integrate that well.

And the journal would go as the blog.

Wasn't there a myspace rewrite thread out there? I mean, yeah you are talking about a totally different layout. But the layout is generally easy once you get the information you want going to the page :)

I use Vision Scripts Interactive Profiles commercial product on one site and it works well. The biggest concern I see is that it is encrypted using IonCube and therefore we cannot make little changes. The things we want to change are things like passing profile fields, info of buddies/connected friends, etc to the page to use in the layout. Those add queries and don't make sense for everyone using the product.

Regardless, this type of feature would be an amazing addition to the vBulletin feature set and all vBulletin to answer some of the features their competitors have released.

I too use Vision Scripts Interactive Profiles and also want to be able to parse profile fields into it... but can't. Very frustrating!

The only way forward is...

Someone needs to take control of this mod request and put a product specification together. Everyone who wants this mod then put their money where their mouth is and say how much they are willing to contribute towards the mod. The person taking control then tallies up the money and puts the project out to tender on a site like Elance.com.

We're also planning to have a complete user cp rewrite, a gallery for party pictures from discos etc. with comment function and a flirt & dating system! Fortunately our coders are very skilled, they explained how to put our ideas into practice instantly. I even had some ideas which seemed impossible to me but they always had a solution! (I assumed they would laugh) :D

no sorry, it's top secret ^^ we have some competitors out there and the launch of our site should be a kind of "surprise attack" :D
