There is 2 ways of doing this, but one is slightly tricky.

1. A permenent way would be adding the watermark data to the FLV's Meta data, this currently has to be done by an injection method on the FLV file. I only know of one program that can do this, which is Captionate (commercial) - capable of watermarking and subtitling any FLV file.

2. The other method is adding a dynamic field to the player, but this doesn't actually watermark the FLV files, it simply places your logo/text as an 'overlay' when any FLV is streamed through the player. Obviously, not permenent since it is not altering any data in the FLV.

If a watermarking system was incorporated, it would probably use the 2nd method, since this would be easier to add. The first method would require extensive knowledge, and if possible to run such a script from server-side.

Number two i was talking about Like Myspace,youtube) some of them just adds it to the swf player design....so when the video plays it shows on it

Dynamic 'watermarking' in flash is pretty easy to add, but with flash the PNG format works better. Transparency can also be utilized.

I'll look at both options available using dynamic 'watermarking' - typically these can be a PNG image or just text (text requires the font being embedded if its a non-standard font).

Cannot tell your board is offline. Your logo looks far too big - looks like something created using 'The Logo Creator' by Laughing Bird, I know the guy that created that software in Macromedia Director.:)

on now haha, i just remembered now it was off. haha and don't look at my default template i was screwing around with it and im not planning on using it for one of my website skinz when it is finalized. the silver white theme will be my skin most likely.

You need to turn on Style switching for users, under vBulletin Options.

As regards to the graphic header, it looks just like a few C4D's and a couple of layer blends done in Photoshop - nothing amazing really, if you know how to use this program.

i am also having trouble with the vbmp3 player. it is not playing any music!. i ftped the music to my site and provided the link and they will not play :( they are in mp3 format as well

If this hack could play any videos from other sites with .wmv & other extensions (like AnyMedia Player does), that would be very nice.

CMPS integration would be a bonus as well.

And having a choice between a few different skin colors would be cool.

This couldn't be done with actually fully integrating the player into vbulletin - this is part of the forthcoming commercial version.

A vBa CMPS I thought about, but one problem is the width. Most CMPS users utilize all 3 default columns - and the players width would probably cause side-scroll.

It would be, but the 'Xeon series' players were not designed, with this facility. The problem involved is mainly the overall design, a skin would be hard to add, without breaking the player.

Some have, others haven't... all are welcome!;)

Updated with new player in separate package. This contains the player with 'watermarking' enabled - full details of installation can be found in post #2 and also in the package itself.

You will need the full package installed first to use this watermarked version.

ok...can I make a request if possible? Is there anyway a visitor can know how many times a clip has been played or how many times the player itself has been used..you know some sort of statistical tool...just curious :)

Due to the way this version works, and uses no database queries, it would be impossible to create such a feature. The whole mod is XML driven, and uses a text file on the 'watermark' version. This wouldn't be a problem with using the integrated version, because I could add the required tables and fields.

There are ways using flash, but I'm not a fan of using LSO (Local Shared Objects) - and testing this method is a nightmare.

well maybe I can put the script's link on a page and have a counter on that page so that i'd know how many people visit this page ..so don't worry about it. Thanks a lot you have given us too much already.

You could always make the javascript window open at an extra height by adjusting the height parameter in the navbar code, then placing a hit counter on the html file.

vbE-Center - thats in very early 'bare-bones' development at the moment, video and mp3's are all working. Auto-animated thumbnail creating is functioning, working on 'live' tv and radio streaming at the moment. Probably, not until early next year when it will be ready for release.

Today, I was playing with a new donation system which is 'live' on my site - I might release it as a vb modification at some point, see how it goes.;)

something is wrong with the player..It was working fine. I even added the water mark and it worked but now after adding new vdos I am getting (undefined) in the place of the clip name and pic.
Even the old clips stopped working now. When I click a clip the play button disapears.
Any clues?

How many clips do you have listed in your XML file? The trouble with XML population is it does have limits, I never tested this one beyond 10.

I have 20 vdos on my list.

I'll re-check the player code, I thought I removed the 'limiting' code, on compiling this player. Should be higher, with no problems... XML population does have its limits, but not 20... that was some code I added when testing it.:confused:

does this stream video or it downloads and plays from viewers system?

It buffers 5 seconds of video before streaming it through the player. It doesn't actually download as such, only streamed into the browsers cache.

got a problem>> now whenever I click the nav bar link for the player I am taken to the top of my forum home pagr and nothing happens..maybe due to a no. of things but I'll check it out later.
