Crap lol.

These changes have been added to the 1.3.6 product file.

Cheertobi 11-06-2006 05:49 PM

Works great now! Thanks!

SkyCatcher 11-07-2006 12:25 AM

2.0 Gold released. Definately worth installing if you liked the previous versions. It SHOULD be bug-free as I have tested it on 3.6.2 and 3.5.4 without any problems.

I hope you enjoy it.

yinyang 11-07-2006 12:34 AM

lol. all good. so, do you know what would just put you over the top... going from genius to godlike?

if you could make it work as a cms module for vbadvanced. they also have a box for who's online, and if this could work with that, that'd be unreal.

Ok, check the top post again, I've attached a text file explaining the file edit needed to make the thumbs show in the vbAdvanced block. Everyone elses avatar will show but your own. I have to go to work so, meh, it's a start. It requires you edit the modules/onlineusers.php file.

Sorry I've been without an internet connection for the past 4 weeks.

You have the option of showing thumbnails in the who's online, on the forumhome, or both. Take a look at the screenshot of the admincp and it should explain itself. ( https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...2&d=1162865136 )

Is there a way to have the username appear above or below the avatar? I can get it to work in who's online with just a <br/> but if I do that on forumhome it makes the avatars line up horizontally.

I don't think there's a way to do it without looping a table column through the forumhome. I'll play with it tonight and see if I can come up with a solution, but I'm doubtfull. Check back in about 12 hrs ^^

.Tim 12-17-2006 11:52 PM

Thanks, you rule.

SkyCatcher 12-18-2006 09:37 AM

Sorry I tried but I can't get it to work.

It would require file changes, but even that I can't figure out.

Basically the php file parses the table then goes to the template and then finishes the table. In order to change that you'd need to modify the php file and change the output :/

I'm not skilled enough to figure it out apparently :(

.Tim 12-22-2006 02:12 AM

No problem, thanks for trying though!

Can this mod be used to show a 'who's online block' on a vbPortal front page / block?

SkyCatcher 01-01-2007 11:06 PM

Find in onlineusers.php
----------------------
Code:

if ($onlinemod['modid'])
                                        {
                                                if ($activeusers)
                                                {
                                                        $com = ', ';

and change the ,
Code:

if ($onlinemod['modid'])
                                        {
                                                if ($activeusers)
                                                {
                                                        $com = '<br /> ';

So a few lines down you'd have:

PHP Code:

eval('$activeusers .= "$com ' fetch_template('forumhome_loggedinuser') . '";');

And that will display them on a seperate line each, you can also add an $nbsp; for a whitespace.

I can't seem to fix it. Somehow it goes through and gets the avatar paths for everyone except for the user that is currently loggen in (you). So whoever is viewing that page will see everyone else's avatar but their own.

No fix for this yet. I've tinkered with it about 6 times now and still can't come up with a simple way to get it to work.

The whole VBA thing was just an addon due to demand, I never really planned on messing with VBA so it may just remain that way forever :(

dj_melayu 01-12-2007 05:46 AM

The vbAdvanced thing isn't supported in any way as it's not really a part of the hack.

SkyCatcher 06-03-2007 04:16 AM

Tested in 3.6.7 PL1 and still works fine.
