I've noticed that many of you commented that:
1.- Links (Male/Female) don't work
2.- Someone can rate multiple times

Well, here I want to make a clarification. To explain what is my meaning of Free modules (and software in general). For me, Freee modules are offering by the author for use in small communities, mostly non profit communities just to make them more interesting to visitors. In none case (even if you're free to do it), I thought that I must spent my less and valuable time to write the super module and then to give it for free for use in commercial sites, in other words to give the ability to someone to have profits of my work.

Sure I know that the links don't work. I removed links just a few moment before post the module. But I left eg the infromation box at the left top side after your vote, I left Top Male/Female, I left Newest Male/Female and most important the module works fine, ehh? All of these I think that are much more than enought for someone who wants to use it in his small community. Sure I can put restrictions on multiple votes. And not only to restrict 2nd vote, but depending on the Admin, to let user not vote again at all, or to vote again after xx days.

Please try to understand, that I'm half-century woman, I've my family and I can't spend so much time just for free. Most of you (I'm talking in general) don't like to spent a moment just to click install, or to come to my site for support which make me feel like a ping-pong's ball, running between 2 forums here and to my site, and to write same things 2-3 times.

Then either release it on vbulletin.org or your own site. But knowone is gonna check your site if they dont know it. Im grateful for the hack but if everytime i wanted supprt on a hack i found here which maded me sign up to a new site i wouldnt bother. If you release a supported hack on vb.org be prepared to supprt it here.

No, it's an intependent module. It should work without vbMates. vbMates will have in the next version it's own rating system.

Has been tested with 3.5.5 and 3.6.2 but as like vbMates it dosen't touch any vB data, so 99% will be compatible with 3.6.0

I remember that site hot or not lol, it was very popular for ages. This might be a nice addition to the site for some fun lol.

this is a picture rating script. If you want to rate profile, use visionscripts interactive profiles. That does all these myspace.com things including changing css

Great script, but people can vote multiple times, this ruins the script in my opinion, it very much skews the results and if users have to rerate everything it dissuades ppl from using it. Just my opinion

Never! I'de rather shut down my site then use anything from visionscript. and i am NOT trying to be like myspace either...

why im asking this is i dont see WHAT pictures it will be rating since most gallery has already a rating system included

In this version they can rate only photos Males/Females, even if you can change the phrases to replace them with something else, but limitation is 2 categories.
In my commercial version there are no limitation in categories. You can rate anything. The users must upload a photo which is intepedent from any other vb photo (profile or gallery)

I know it, it's not in bug. Read some posts before, where I explained why i didn't put restrictions in free version.

but to be honest m8, if youre not gonna sort out the fact ppl can rate again and again, in the free version, its not much of an advert for the premium is it?

think about it, being able to rate somethin multiple times just defeats the WHOLE object of the hack.

it then becomes a page hwere u can just click on a pic again and again...with no effect on the overall result..(as an accurate rating)

uninstalling this, if ppl can rate again and again, not much point in having it on in the first place.

there is a typo in that main center module tcat where the pic rating is that says "Hor or Not... any idea where i can find that template to fix?

:confused: All phrases are in the file: product-hotornot.xml Make a search for "Hor" and you'll find it. Correct it with a text editor (like notepad) and the import again from admicCP. Dont forget to check "Overwrite". It will take the changes.
Additionally you can search from adminCP in phrases for text: Hor

Sorry, I didn't got the meaning of the issue. What was working fine? The module? and then you import again the .xml file and got these databases errors. Have you uninstalled the product and then tried to install it again?

An URL inside the text box so people can forward it to ask their friends to vote for them.

Better yet, a button right next to it to send that URL to a friend!

I had the mod installed on my board and everything worked fine, then I imported the xml that is attached to this thread (separate from the zip file) and upload the new vbhotornot.php file (also attached sperate from the zip file) and I got errors. I tried to unistall the xml and i got database errors also. I have disabled the product for the time being.

It was wrong to get the seperate files as these were for user who download it very early before I found a bug that I corrected. That's why in my post after correction I wrote "Zip file updated".
In any case do the following:
1.- Go to Manage Products and choose "Edit" for vbHotOrNot.
2.- Delete everything that it's in the box "Uninstall code"
3.- Press Save
4.- Goto to product Manager and choose Uninstall for HotOrNot
5.- Import again the xml file from the zip file
6.- If you had replaced vbhotornot.php file in your server upload the new one (from the zip file).

Hope that it should solve your problem

Hellas, I have the program installed on my forum with some ppl already putting their images in the system, if I purchase the commercial version, is it possible to install it without altering the data that is already stored from the free version
