Okay, I have found some features not working.

I've installed this mod and ran the cron task manually a couple of times to see if I can get the stats to show up when going to the Site Statistics link in the navbar quick links.

It shows the Forum Stats, and Top Threads and Forums.....however, when I click on the other links to show me Display Colors and Resolutions or Countries and Regions, etc....I don't get any stats coming back to me.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated. ;)

They do not appear immediately - and make sure you've done template modifications, too.

syrus.xl 10-01-2006 11:48 PM

Nice script apart from the UK resolving problem.

I've been monitoring my site most of the evening, and know most of the users that have been online, using the site are from the UK. Yet not once as their been any sign of a UK flag.

I have seen similar scripts to this before, and even they put me in the US. lol I wouldn't mind being in San Francisco with the current horrid weather here in the UK! :D

RS_Jelle 10-02-2006 04:21 AM

[high]* RS_Jelle clicks unistall for the 3.5 version and install for the 3.6 version :)
[/high]

A small bug: the version number isn't showing in the footer.

That shows the country as "GB" and I looked in your database_country.php file and noticed that there is a entry for the "UK" but not for "GB" - so I made a new entry:

"GB" => array("United Kingdom", "Europe", "London", "Pound Sterling", "uk")

And now it looks as if it is correctly distinguishing UK visitors?

works for me as well, just no image for country

renamed uk.gif to gb.gif and now it works

That would be it, I forgot to replace all instances of GB with UK when I downloaded a new version of the database. It's fixed now - please download the new archive, overwrite the XML and reupload database_ip under includes/psistats/.

Darat 10-02-2006 11:22 AM

Will do - thanks

syrus.xl 10-02-2006 11:53 AM

Cool... working fine now with UK. :)

Great hack.

Perhaps you have cron or plugins disabled then...

Gripemaster 10-02-2006 01:40 PM

I LOVE this hack!

I have 1.3.2 already installed, do I just need to import/overwite the product xml?

Thanks for the great mods.

akanevsky 10-02-2006 02:10 PM

The upgrade instructions are posted in the vBulletin 3.5 thread of this hack :).

Blittz 10-02-2006 03:14 PM

Installed and working perfectly. I especially love your checkbox installation list, very very well done.

Live demo: http://racketradio.com/forum/psistats.php

Zelda-King 10-02-2006 03:15 PM

Excellent! The cron URL error I always got on the old version is gone. :)

MrNase 10-02-2006 05:45 PM

One very minor request: Could you please use the vB number formats when you release a new version?
Right now '34,000' is displayed as '34000'. :)

gedsta 10-02-2006 06:46 PM

You shouldn't have done your fix in the first place. To remove GB, run this query:

[SQL]DELETE FROM `psistats_data` WHERE `ctype` = 'country' AND `cdata` = 'GB'[/SQL]

Wow, I was impressed that ths could be put on the main page, now I have to find out how to do this. Thanks for sharing your site for us to view.

Very nice job love the program, and the one question I have is that this only shows up in the Quick Links area, is there a way to show the stats on the front end in the forums. For give me, but I sort of learning as a go here and cannot seem to find a way to do this.

I commend you for writing great docs for the install of this program, and I was very impressed with the check boxes, very professional looking.

Thanks in advance

Dennis

Obviously I'm some where boogered up here cause there are plenty who are running this with no problems.

I went in and found that my cron task is working as it just ran on it's own about 5 mins from my posting of this. Also looked to see that all the psiStats plugins were checked as Active.

Just can't get this to show the browsers, etc.....

You can't put it on the main page, not without using up unnecessary resources for people who don't want to see the stats. His link in no different that the default setup.

Something's wrong with your vBullletin then. What version are you running, and what hacks?

I have the same problem, so my vBulletin must be wrong too. lol I am running 3.5.5 on my dev site. Cron and plugins are both functioning correctly.

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but will the cron appear in the schedule tasks manager? I ask, because I don't have any scheduled tasks that run off of the psistats_update.php file in there.

perfphysio 10-03-2006 07:16 PM

my stadard stats from the forum itself are working e.g. top threads, forums topics etc and members, online etc.

However stuff that seems to look at new stored data from elsewhere e.g. countries, browsers, colours, screen etc is all empty with no results. Have I missed something? I have installed it three times now in case something g corrupt somewhere? What I already have makes this an excellent hack but i'd like to have it all

Don't know what happened to my post about part of the stats system not working. Anyway I looking in the scheduled taksa dn it is there but when i view the logs there is no reference to it ever being done. Now I ran it manuall from there and got the following database error:

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.1:

Invalid SQL:
LOCK TABLES vb_psistats_cache READ, vb_psistats_data READ;

MySQL Error : Access denied for user: 'bobforum@%' to database 'physiobobforum'
Error Number : 1044

Referrer : http://www.physiobob.com/forum/admin....php?do=modify

Any ideas?

tekstylez 10-03-2006 08:54 PM

Any idea why this is not showing up in my quick links? All the template edits were done...

Is this hack 3.6.1 specific?

That question is answered both in the FAQ post and earlier in this thread. :)

Absurd. If template edits were done correctly, the hack shows up under quick links. If it does not show up, you can logically conclude that template edits were not done correctly.

I don't see this anywhere being answered in this thread? And can you provide the link to the FAQ's please.

The fact is, this works on an unhacked vBulletin version 3.6.0/3.6.1. If it doesn't work that it's either you did something wrong, or your vBulletin is too heavily modified and some hack is conflicting with this one.

Tork64 10-03-2006 09:53 PM

edit: Mine also doesnt show up in quick links.

So then you also have a modified quick links?
For example, this site:
http://www.brassreview.com/forums/psistats.php (to the admin of the site: I looked this up via google, if you are not ok with the link having been posted, please let me know).
does not even have a quick links. which makes it impossible for a link to the hack to show up under a quick links that does not even exist. Use common sense to determine what the problem is...

Floris 10-04-2006 09:57 AM

This is really cool. I will talk to my staff on vbfans if we should install this: I think we should :D Very cool stuff, vbstats by bane is my fav hack and this is the perfect follow up i think. Could this add a big lag on big sites? resource problems or just performing fine?

Tork64 10-04-2006 11:44 AM

Uninstalled it. Followed everything in the instructions (not the hardest thing to install) Dont think it likes one of my other mods.

No, it won't add any lag unless you start increasing delay for cron runs.
