Thanks, I look forward to updates with eagerness.

I had a bot on my old phpbb forums that proved to be one of the most popular features (although I could never work out why), but I'm not gonna go live with this until it's got the WOL stuff working.

A posting delay would be cool too, rather than seeing the reply the minute you hit submit.

Another cool idea would be to allow random quoting, so that some posts get quoted and others don't.

Incidentally, what sort of pressure does this put on the server?

eXtremeTim 09-16-2006 09:35 AM

I have the 3.6 updated version out and will hopefully get it back ported and released for 3.5 shortly.

moonclamp 09-16-2006 09:40 AM

Thank You. Very much appreciated :)

kofoid 09-17-2006 06:01 PM

Tim, you tease ;)

Will the 3.6 code work with 3.5.4?

sensimilla 09-17-2006 06:20 PM

Thanks I had it installed on my vb 3.0 good to see it back!

eXtremeTim 09-17-2006 09:55 PM

Sorry ive been swamped with stuff going on in the 3.6 thread lately. plus new issues where it doesnt work on 3.6.1.

Ski-Whiz 09-18-2006 03:43 AM

Darn. I'll have to look into what will/won't work on 3.6...

I really like this hack. :D

I'm all about making it easy for coders. :D

All 3.5.x mods should work on any other version of that series.

moonclamp 09-18-2006 10:19 PM

it works with 3.5.0 so I would think so.

I'm seriously itching for the full working version. I tried the 3.6 version and got db errors on import.

49er 09-20-2006 06:13 AM

Hi,
Help please, i am getting these errors when running the botloader....
:hurt:
Code:

Warning: main(D:/home/**********/public_html/forum/includes/config.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/**********/public_html/forum/alice/src/admin/dbprefs.php on line 49

Warning: main(D:/home/**********/public_html/forum/includes/config.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/**********/public_html/forum/alice/src/admin/dbprefs.php on line 49

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'D:/home/**********/public_html/forum/includes/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/**********/public_html/forum/alice/src/admin/dbprefs.php on line 49

In the dbprefs.php file i have this, any help advising me of where i am going wrong would be much appreciated.
Code:

# This is where all the AIML and startup.xml resides
$rootdir= "D:/home/**********/public_html/forum/alice/aiml/";

require('D:/home/**********/public_html/forum/includes/config.php');

$DB_HOST=$config['MasterServer']['servername'];
$DB_UNAME=$config['MasterServer']['username'];
$DB_PWORD=$config['MasterServer']['password'];
$DB_DB=$config['Database']['dbname'];

moonclamp 09-20-2006 10:59 AM

Try getting rid of the "D:" at the beginning, that is for windows servers. Apache should just be /home/username/public_html etc.

49er 09-20-2006 03:51 PM

Ok moonclamp, thats good, Thank You. :D

I had the 3.0.x version, and tried this version, and it doesn't respond to posts etc.

Anyone run 3.0.x AND get this one to work?
