ooo haha, My Bad :) HEY question, that scrollin marquee with the song title and that, does that auto update when the song changed, with out refreshing the page? If it doesn't, is there a way to edit the script so that its fixed and not scrolling? Thanks :) |
Hi,
I've got my Shoutcast server up and running fine on my machine, the shoutcast is listenable from elsewhere but I can't seem to get it running on my board, it just keeps telling me 'currently our shoutcast server is down'. These are my settings: Server name = the server name I've got in my Shoutcast Server Server IP = My IP Port: 8000 Server Pasword: same as my server password Server IRC: Not sure what to put here - I can't find a DJ DSP setting on WinAmp so it's currently blank Server Cache: the scast_home.xml is in the forum root directory and set to 777 Server update 120 Any advice on what I've missed or cocked up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :) |

Mine did the same thing, the only thing you change, is your Server Name, The IP and then the Password, and you can change the refresh time to like 20, that should work, if it doesn't let me know, and I can come to ur site and help you fix it, Also, be sure you "chmod" your shoutcast.xml to 777, I forgot to do that, and it woudn't work. do the chmod first if you haven't already :) |
@Goatpod
If you are sure that your shoutcast server is setup and there are no issues with firewalls and ports. Your webhost may not allow external queries to ports other than 80. To test this, set your shoutcast server to port 80 (default web port) and see if your stats show up. If all is well, contact your webhost and ask if there are ports other than 80 that are open and can be used to request an XML feed from. (IE: shoutcast status php script). You may be in luck. :) |
Thanks a lot! :)

I'm having the same problem.
Everything is installed the scast_home.xml file is CHMOD'd but it says the server is down. This worked fine with the old version with no problems, since i updated it hasnt worked. |
server down usually means noone is streaming to your shoutcast or your shoutcast server isnt running properly...
|
I've CHMOD scast_home.xml and filled in all the stuff in the options but i didn't know what to put in IRC server so i left it as what it was. When i connected it just said the radio is offline.
can anyone help? |

Wow thanks for such a cool mod!
Is there a way of running the mod on a custom made template so i can dedicate a whole radio page on my forum? At the moment you can only set the custom locations on the FORUMHOME template. |
Great Hack indeed! I have a new problem. Everithing was running smooth, when streaming from my computer with shoutcast. I decided to take things further and stream from within my server. I got the server to work and stream ok, only problem is that now the song name stays as the first sanem on the playlist.lst how can i fix this?
|
Ouch, having both running on the VPS is using all the resources. I did not know this would be so server intensive "shoutcast I mean" not the hack.

Hello
is it possible that your can places a status Picture, example in the navbar/header or somewhere else with radio ofline, and if the radio is online then you see a Picture with radio online. if so, how you do that. thanks sorrie for me bad English!! |
After installing on v3.6.0 I'm getting the following error when I go to my forums:
Warning: Unknown(/home/smoknz28/public_html/forums/includes/shoutcast/scast.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php(485) : eval()'d code on line 1 Fatal error: (null)() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/smoknz28/public_html/forums/includes/shoutcast/scast.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/smoknz28/public_html/forums/index.php(485) : eval()'d code on line 1 |

K, got it installed correctly.....however, I do need a little help understanding this a bit further. What I would like to do is add a Shoutcast channel from http://www.shoutcast.com/ I found one that I'd like to have available for my users with the following address: http://64.236.34.97:80/stream/1074 Doesn't seem like I can add this in....is that the case? Also, can I have more than one Shoutcast channel for my users to choose from? Thank you so much for a great add-on. ;) |

I would let indicate gladly, which user sends straight, thus a kind on air, paired with the Avantar users unite and profile fields! How would I have to adapt the code, if the DJ uses the Discription function? Speak, the DJ is registered in the forum and if DJXXX calls itself, now stands there also in the Discription in it and if this like that is, he is the Avantar users to indicate, as well as its profile fields! Here please does someone have a proposal for solution? Thanks!

- I do not have the code in my head @ the moment, but I have plans for something like this. Profile is a good idea. I had ideas of a DJ table w/ field the DJ's could fill out. I will take a look @ options. |
I hope so, i make the other idee with the Base of Musik :D
Greetz! |
Whenever I connect it doesn't show me as connected on the forum. Everything is right. Any idea what could be wrong?
|
why do we have to chmod scast_home.xml to be 777
its always 0 byte i've written all the information require but nothing happen |
could you give us example, how could we use it?
and take a screen shot so we can follow it.. thanks for your hard work |

9 out of 10 times this is because of settings (port,ip,password) or your webhost has blocked ports. Many hosts only allow queries for data on port 80 (http, rss, xml feeds). I have seen many webhosts designate a port for "other" needs of their clients. Send a ticket to your webhost and see if ports are blocked (ie:8000). If so they may give you another port you can use. Reset your shoutcast server to output on that port. Lastly, if there is nothing that your host will do, you can move the shoutcast server to output on port 80 vs. 8000. |
Zachariah
can I put another IP? like another radio station? its has to be my shoutcast? |

This is a great mod but just a suggestion: I want it to show up under the navbar while the radio is online. But I want it to be inside what's going on while the radio is offline. I mean two location options, one for radio online, one for radio offline. It would be great if there is an option like that.
|
