Absolutly, Would be happy to provide that. Stick around for 5 minutes and I will post them here for download.

Mikelbeck, Unfortunatly, I do not know what is causing the % problem on your forum. I'm not familiar with vbadvanced, and I haven't had this issue on any other install, so it's difficult to say why / what the cause of that is. If I do come accross a fix, or if you do, please post it here. Thank you.

Mark

markbolyard 08-29-2006 11:58 PM

Here is the layered navbar for this forum skin. Hope it helps!

Sky-Board 08-29-2006 11:58 PM

Cool, thanks a lot. And now to the second Problem: The thing with the "forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost" doesn't work for me. 50% and 50% works but it's not how i want it to. And giving the last-post-table a fixed value doesn't work either... :( How is this solved in the Standard-vB Style ? I can't find a solution for that.... :(

cu !

It's not just vbAdvanced, it happens on all pages on the site.

miner 08-30-2006 04:09 PM

markbolyard 09-01-2006 03:00 PM

Thank you, this is a wonderful style! :D

framer 09-04-2006 03:37 AM

Thanks Mark for all you hard work on this skin. A real class skin.

I expect to go live on a in about a week, 1st test of the import tomorrow but it looks real nice. It's been a real steep learning curve over the last 10 days. I've been a UBBclassic driver for 8-9 years and am still using the flat file system. I should have switched years ago. I'm looking forward to using this software for quite awhile.

newbie here - Hi!!
i'm having a go at my first multi-styles today and like this style - i've uploaded and installed - installation was a dream - looks good too!
problem is: i had previously installed a couple of hacks, i.e. The Welcome Headers Hack, and i also had Google adsense ads showing in my default style......... well, now i don't. The default style still shows them, but the new uploaded styles don't - do i have to re-do all the hacks/mods for each style?!

that's gonna be some chore if that's the case!!

markbolyard 09-04-2006 01:52 PM

Depends on the hacks / mods installed. You won't have to reinstall the mods / hacks, but you may need to go back and make the template edits for each hack. Do a inventory of what you installed, and review the install documentation per mod. Chances are, there are only a few mods that actually required a manual template edit.

ish 09-04-2006 02:45 PM

"Welcome headers" seems to be working on all new styles as do some adsense ads (first and last threads), but only adsense beneath navbar and forumdisplay are missing - i'll sort them out

i've added a couple more of your skins too!! take a look! - www.pixaforum.com

markbolyard 09-04-2006 03:28 PM

Very nice :)

Currently my coders are working on commercial skins for our new skin store, but hopefully I'll be releasing some more freebies soon.

As always, thanks to everyone who has used one of my skins, and those that have regged on my forum...

spazz191 09-08-2006 04:21 PM

I think, I confused myself :knockedout:
I edited the navbar_buttons.psd file o the way I wanted it but it doesn't look right. When I went to upload it, I noticed the one that is the original is individual files. Did I do something wrong?

markbolyard 09-08-2006 04:35 PM

Yes, they are in fact individual files. The easies way would be to edit the psd, then open the origional images and copy your new button over the old so it lines up correctly. I'm not sure of you skill set in photoshot, but you could also slice the image to the needed size and overwrite the origional images.

spazz191 09-08-2006 04:50 PM

Thats well above my Photoshop ability. :confused: I think I will make due with the default. I will not un-install it though because I really like this style

framer 09-11-2006 12:26 PM

Code:

This places a specific banner on a specific forum.  I have companies sponsor specific forums and need to display their ads on specific forums.  I've not seen this code anywhere else so I posted it here as it was written for this skin.

1st use your graphic editor to add your banner ad to c2_04.jpg and rename it to a unique name.

//this is stock code to find
<table width="100%" height="100" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center" background="images/c2/c2_03.jpg">

<tr>

//left title banner
<td width="100%"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="images/c2/c2_02.jpg" alt="Site Name" width="304" height="100" border="0"></a></td>

//custom code added
// forum home banner page
<td><if condition="$foruminfo[forumid]==NULL">
<a href="http://your_link_to_banner_ad.com.com">
<img src="images/c2/c2_04-u.jpg" alt="Picture Title" width="465" height="100" border="0" align="right">
</a></if>

// forumID 1
<td><if condition="$foruminfo[forumid]==1">
<a href="http://your_link_to_banner_ad.com.com">
<img src="images/c2/c2_04-x.jpg" alt="Picture Title" width="465" height="100" border="0" align="right">
</a></if>

//if you want a place holder for a forum without a banner at this time
<if condition="$foruminfo[forumid]==7"></if>
// all the forums you want

</td>

    </tr>
    </table>

// please remove any comments

**************************************************************************************************

//footer
//find code
                                <if condition="$vboptions[privacyurl]"><a href="$vboptions[privacyurl]">$vbphrase[privacy_statement]</a> -</if>
                                <a href="#top" onclick="self.scrollTo(0, 0); return false;">$vbphrase[top]</a>&nbsp;
                        </strong>
                </div>
        </td>
</tr>
</table>

//add footer banner code, I'm just using stardard banner ads on the footer.

<table width="100%" height="100" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center" background="images/c2/c2_03.jpg">

<tr><td width="100%" align="center">
//forum home page =NULL

//forumID == 1

//place holder for a forum without a footer ad at this time
<if condition="$foruminfo[forumid]==4">four</if>

</td>
</tr>
</table>

// again please remove any comments from code
// Any width and height's need to be corrected for your graphics

Got the board up yesterday with the new this skin, users love it. Thanks Mark for all your hard work making me look like the hero. The Picture Framers Grumble I wish you success in your business start up.

smallest 09-12-2006 12:15 PM

looks like this is missing the "Forum / Last Post / Threads / Posts" header bar on the content table of the main vforum page.

ex. : http://www.smalleranimals.com/vforum/

markbolyard 09-12-2006 06:09 PM

Framer, thanks for that added info for adding a banner. Your forum looks great!

smallest, (& framer) now that I noticed, you are right. On your forum, that bar is missing. http://www.talkvbulletin.com/?styleid=7 if you see the demo, it works, as it does on the other boards I have had the chance to see.

I needed to take my wife to the hospital today for an emergency, and I'm just checking mail right now. when I return to a PC I will look into this further for you.

Thank you.

framer 09-12-2006 11:47 PM

Never noticed that. I'll look into it. Hope the wife's OK!

BJORNE 09-24-2006 08:03 AM

Your are without the best maker of skins here, BUt, you should do something with that bug that cause them to load on side first and then get a center view, else all your skins look great

JimmyN 09-24-2006 08:44 AM

Good work with the skin, very professional and clean looking, thanks

markbolyard 09-28-2006 04:57 PM

Thanks for the kind comments.

I hope there's a fix for it!

Thank you markbolyard!!! I really, really like this template. I actually bought a template for $30, but now I am using yours! I like it better!

I want to add a "Donate" button to the navbar. I made an image that says Donate on it, and it is 73 x 31 pixels, but my question is how do I add it? What changes do I need to make to the navbar template? Please tell me step-by-step. I want the Donate button to be after the search button for not logged in users, and I want it to be after the quick links button but before the logout button for logged in users.

Thanks in advanced!!! I really like this!

Juanto 11-08-2006 01:09 AM

Very easy on the eyes any well done! This is my new Default theme ;) ;)

kewlpack 02-01-2007 08:10 PM

Love this Style/Theme.

Is there any way to shrink the space between the first forum list and the buttonbar/header? It's as if there is a stray line break in the code somewhere - but how do I check (not a PHP guru at all)?

See my site for what I'm talking about: http://forum.thestompbox.net/index.php (select Crastel theme)

kewlpack 02-04-2007 04:46 PM

Here are two examples of the spacing issue:

In this clip, you can see where the forum spacing is glitched - setting one forum area on top of another...
http://www.thestompbox.net/miscfiles...acingissue.gif

In this one, you can see the extra space between one forum and another...
http://www.thestompbox.net/miscfiles...spaceissue.gif

How can I check the code for any extra line breaks or whatever HTML would cause these layout issues?

Any help is appreciated.

markbolyard 11-04-2007 03:34 AM

I'm updating this to 3.6.8 and will try and clean up the code. Check back in a few days for the latest version. Thanks.
