I have over 100 forums that I would like indexing. Instead of the laborious task of entering every forum id seperately is there any way I can get this hack to monitor every forum on the board ?

Hello Cybernetec,
I have some problem with this hack.

When I click on the link who indicate new post, it's work, but when I read a new post, and I come back to the forumhome, I allways have the same number as new posts...

Second thing:
I write a post on a thread, so 1 new post in 1 thread.
I write a soncd post in a second thread, so 2 new posts in 2 threads
This is OK.
But when I write an other post in the second thread, I have, 3 news posts in 3 threads... (but that shlud be 2 threads...)

For information:
I install the version 2.0 on vb 3.6.8, in a local mode.
The only hack installed is ibProArcade...

Find in attachement the french translation of this hack.
Just import the original product, then, import the french langage file.

Ok this wasn't showing up for me in my skin, so I switched to default and it was working. Then I realized I have my new posts in the top nav mod, so new posts aren't in the navbar template. And just adding $cyb_anp doesn't work. So what do I need to edit to get it to show up in a different template than the navbar?

ok so i installed this and it deleted the "New Posts" button off my NavBar...without adding in the new one...

prolly should saved the code for the navbar but a little late now...

help? :)

Same here...if I read it, should it not take it off the count?

How about the possibility to hide "New Posts" link and leave visible only "New Posts In" menu?
Ok I can modify the code... but how about a switch on-off in the add-on menu?
...and how about forum permissions? if a user can't view a forum why in the New Post In menu is visible?

thank you ;)

EDIT: I found where to fix this.

In the "Cyb - Advanced 'New Posts' - MN" plugin, find the following (notice the two templates I've highlighted in red):

Quote:

eval('$cyb_anp = "' . fetch_template('cyb_advancednewposts') . '";');
$vbulletin->templatecache['navbar'] = str_replace('$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td>','$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td>'.$vbulletin->templatecache['cyb_advancednewposts'],$vbulletin->templatecache['navbar']);
Change those two red templates to the one that your naviation links are in (i.e. header).

If you have also modified your header to not use tables, you may need to look at the blue code to make sure that it matches the same code that you are using in your template. I had to remove the "</td>" to get it to work for me.

I can't get this to work outside of the main forum directory. When you first go to the site it is vbandvanced so I edited the navbar to include $cyb_anp but all this did was make "No New Post" disappear from the navbar. Ever since I installed this mod it would say no new posts in vbadvanced regardless if there was new posts. Then when you went into the forum the mod worked flawlessly.

Hello there,

I installed this in my forum and my community members really like it. It is a big change to a frequently used link so I'm still getting used to it.

One thing I'd like to remedy is that neither the AJAX updating link, the proxy for the old "new posts" link i.e. "x (In y Threads)", nor the SSM render well in the iPhone. None of the three links seem to be clickable using the iPhone's mobile Safari browser.

I would think that the "x (In y Threads)" link should work, but for some reason it doesn't. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any way to modify the mod in order to make it work better on iPhones?

rob
