ArabSQuad 08-12-2006 03:23 AM

Thanks alot bro :)

shokran ;)

Dunc 08-13-2006 01:35 PM

Thanks for this great addon (or whatever you'd call it).

I would say it's better for smaller sites because, as has been said, it delays it until everything loads. Fortunately my site is not very big so it creates a good effect. However I wouldn't suggest this being used on larger sites because, as has been said, it delays everything.

Thanks again.

BoYagoob 08-15-2006 06:21 AM

movielist .. Thanks a lot for this info, really good news .. :)

ArabSQuad .. u r more than welcome bro. :)

Dunc .. thanks a lot Dunc for your opinion .. hmmm .. but even though .. some big forums are big .. but still they can be accessed very fast .. which depends on the server itself .. and thanks again .. :)

BoYagoob 08-15-2006 06:28 AM

The thread is updated, so this modification is working now on Firefox 1.5.0.6.

Thanks a lot to movielist who provided us with this info. [here]. :)

dutchbb 08-19-2006 08:51 PM

To be honest I didn't see a difference in IE or Moz.

dutchbb 08-19-2006 09:26 PM

Oh the back button seems faster I think.

BoYagoob 08-20-2006 03:52 PM

Sounds good .. :)

AboutMyHost 09-01-2006 06:11 PM

Hello

It's really fast

tahnsk

Shazz 09-01-2006 08:44 PM

Forums it seems fine..
But on the myspace thing in member profile and the gallery etc.. it slow as ever :(

GamBun 09-01-2006 11:48 PM

To be honest I did not see a difference. I have IE & I also have a high speed connection, so my page has always loaded fast anyway. Maybe it loads faster for dial-up?

Erwin 09-02-2006 12:31 PM

You should add the code at the top of the headinclude template, not header. Plus it makes my site seem slower to me - basically makes everything load in the background before displaying the page. :)

BoYagoob 09-02-2006 12:51 PM

AboutMyHost u r more than welcome :)

Shazz & GamEscape try this post, [here]. You may see the differences.

Erwin but it works fine if it is in the header. :) I will update the thread now to use either. If your forum becomes slow, so the problem is in your server 100%.

slayer666vb 09-02-2006 04:55 PM

Thanx for this it was so nice to try it

Keep on it man

rossco_2005 09-03-2006 08:07 PM

It does add a nice effect to small pages but for slow/large sites and slow connections it gets to be really annoying and kind of confusing i've found (IE won't show the busy cursor :S).

Good intentions though and I still think I could use the effect for other sites or experiments I do. :)

Kihon Kata 09-04-2006 06:28 PM

OMG, this is in close running with Firefox with fasterfox installed!!! WOW, what a difference with IE!

bairy 09-09-2006 06:00 PM

As others have said <meta> tags are supposed to be in headinclude or you may confuse non standard browsers. It will work in the header but it's not the place it should be.

Didn't notice a difference in firefox but it does a good job in IE. Changing the 0 to 0.2 for the duration provides a kinda neat fade effect (which is done by the client's browser btw, so no extra server resources are used)

Orcun 11-01-2006 06:34 PM

If you have icons like toplist icons or hit checking icons, IE waits for them. Although It helps us to view smoothly, It makes the pages load slower because of waiting for getting the whole images.

Steve123 11-04-2006 08:28 AM

sounds intresting but alot of my members have dialup which i don't think its going to be any good for them?

Claire1924 11-08-2006 02:07 PM

Seems to work fine for me. Even included it on our Portal Page.
Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing, if it delays the page until everything is loaded dial-up users would have a blank page for awhile.

SparKeh 11-19-2006 10:31 PM

I've had this installed for sometime now but I'm not sure I notice the difference..

jerrygad 11-20-2006 11:35 AM
