ctrl-alt-del 08-10-2006 05:04 PM

I noticed permissions only applies to the primary group. Can this be changed to also include additional groups?

As an example,
User: Jake
Primary group = Administrators
Secondary Groups = Registered Users

So if I create a new link and have it only visible to Registered Users, user Jake will not be able to see this link.

This mod is a space saver on the navbar.
thanks :D

Installed... thanks

karlm 08-16-2006 02:58 AM

only added two links thus far, 'donate' (standalone) and images (dropdown).
Is there a means to shift the links over elsewhere other than centrally (between original vb-standard links?)

Very happy with it, btw :)

If you mean "vBa CMPS" go into your Admin CP --> vBa CMPS --> Default Settings
Look for "Portal Output Global Variables" and add "custom_singlelinks" and "custom_droplinks" to the text area.

Where would you like the links to be placed?

Nice Mod - thanks ! ;)

karlm 08-23-2006 04:36 AM

It's a good mod, but sadly I discoverd it does not work with vbdrupal. The custom link vanishes, and the dropdown menu appears, but it is empty. I've uninstalled it momentarily due to this.

iTaLiAnBoY165 08-26-2006 10:31 PM

Hey has anyone else had this problem its just on one of my templates when i go to click extra nothing comes up??

harmor19 08-26-2006 10:42 PM

Some pages it doesn't work on.
I don't think it works on the "No Permissions" page.

wrang 08-28-2006 02:32 PM

Is it possible to get one more link menu or will it came under the same menu as the first one??

I want a new menu for the new post link and put some more time links

harmor19 08-28-2006 09:44 PM

You can only have one menu.
I'll am currently working on another project so I can't put any time into this one.

wrang 08-28-2006 10:40 PM

I added a couple Stand Alone links in the navbar. By default "Extras" is also listed in the navbar. However i only want to use Stand Alones. So now i'm trying to get rid of the "Extras" link in the NavBar to conserve space.

In the Style Manager search for "customlinks1"
Remove:
HTML Code:

<td id="custom_links" class="vbmenu_control"><a href="#custom_links">$vbphrase[custom_links_link]</a> <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("custom_links"); </script></td>
Find "customlinks2" and remove completely

brvheart 08-30-2006 01:00 AM

ID10T error.....lol got it...

but I would still like to see a way to move the "extras" position to the very left before usercp :)

Import the product and select "Allow Overwrite".

In your navbar template
Find
HTML Code:

<if condition="$show['member']">
                        <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="usercp.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[user_cp]</a></td>

Add Above
HTML Code:

<td id="custom_links" class="vbmenu_control"><a href="#custom_links">$vbphrase[custom_links_link]</a> <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("custom_links"); </script></td>
$custom_singlelinks

Works fine except

When I go to new posts then on that screen click on the menu it shows up blank, every other time I use it, it has my menu choices fine, so not a huge deal.

There are a couple other pages it doesn't work on. I don't really mind that they don't work on some pages.

slinky 09-02-2006 09:01 PM

I don't see this link appearing on any pages in vb 3.6. I added a link in the custom links and made sure permissions were -1. Anyone not seeing the Extras appear in the toolbar?

Are you using a custom style? If so the designer may have put the navbar in the header template.
What is your site?

Gnappy 09-03-2006 04:42 PM

installed, the "extras" is added in navbar but i cant edit or add any... why?

and a little question: to access the edit page i browse directly www.site.com/admincp/admin_custom_links.php
is this correct or i missed the link menu in my acp?
