great support, the best I've found with the 30 scripts I've boughten over my web experience :)

Butcher 06-07-2006 03:49 PM

ok i'm also voting for vBHacker.com

since i started out with forum software ie;phpbb and all the other free ones,
i didn't find it/them as good as i wanted. So i done some searching and pretty much gathered that vBuletin was the best. Anyway it was at this point that i found vBhackers and since then i've been a member and found that the site is extremely helpful. You never see a post in the support area go unanswered and thats credit to the board and staff :)

<a href="http://www.gfxgamers.net/forums" target="_blank">http://www.gfxgamers.net/forums</a>

First started as a free based forum and grew into a success. Great resource for photoshop users and signature makers looking to enhance there skills.

Ziki 06-07-2006 05:04 PM

I am not entering my site as it is not so great now.Still finishing it

Guest190829 06-07-2006 06:12 PM

The Chief nominating his own site is not a conflict of interest. Every forum needs to be seconded anyway, and it's also a public vote at the end of the process between 5 nominees.

Ike013 06-07-2006 06:27 PM

also supporting vbhackers.com, they do have one of the biggest assets around the net: the community enjoys each other, learns from and help out each other

How can it not be Danny? He and Ntfu2 decide who the final 5 nominees are? Give me a break.

Logikos 06-07-2006 06:46 PM

Wouldn't it be fair if the top 5 nomies got into the poll, or is that how it is?

Yup, that's how it is.

All seconded nominations will get a number. Then with those numbers we will see who was the most seconded and then we will sort them in the poll for you guys to vote.

Freesteyelz 06-07-2006 07:27 PM

@Princeton & Danny.VBT: I respect your thoughts on the matter but I fully disagree. It's not about the end result but the entire process. The nomination of your own site alone is not the conflict of interest; deciding which boards go through the voting process, with your board as a contender, is.

If The Chief's board is in contention to go through the voting process two things will happen (if he chooses to participate at this stage of the contest): 1) He will value his board over another or 2) He will under-value is board and push for another. How can this not be a conflict of interest?

My point is not to discredit The Chief or Ntfu2. They may very well be honest people. I'm not down-playing the contest either as I believed in it from the onset. I should have added more input when I was approached to help out but I did not realize that this contest would get off the ground as fast as it did. Too soon? Only time will tell. While vB.org's BOTM is in the early stages I'd like to see that this matter is looked at more in-depth in the future for the legitimacy of the contest.

If anything, I'll continue this discussion (if warranted) in the Feedback forum. Again, good luck to everyone who has entered. :)

Thanks for your nomination :)

Madmax4321 06-07-2006 07:52 PM

I want to nominate also : http://www.vbhackers.com/

hotwheels 06-07-2006 08:49 PM

I would like to participate in this too, i think it is a great idea.

My site is dedicated to All year's of mustangs @ www.insanemustangs.com

We have a little bit of everything you would want to know about owning a mustang like: Mustang History, How to article's, Ride of the month, Ride of the year, timeslip database, 3 different pic gallery's, arcade system, Automotive new's around the world, Classified's, Calculator's for the automotive enthusiast's, and a whole lot more.

I opened up the site the best i could permission wise. There are still alot of area's within the site that aren't viewable to the public. When you are on my main page of the site and you go inside the forum's, if you want to get back to the main page, please click on the insanemustangs banner at the top of the page.
I sure hope i did this right as far as nominating my site. I have alot of work into it and it has only been getting better as time move's on.

Thanks, doug (hotwheels)

I throw my nomination in for vbhackers.com

I am new to the site, but already see the how great a resource it has become. Friendly folks and staff don't hurt either.

GamerzWorld 06-07-2006 09:25 PM

I stand by my original statement that I hope the real competition stays on vbulletin.com . It just feels wrong here

As I posted on the other thread I just dont have confidence the best board will win. This isn't against the staff but just the community here. Maybe I am wrong ;)

I think in the beginning, you may be right. The voting will probably go to the site that has the best name recognition. As time goes on though, it will actually start going to site's that don't have a name, but just a great design.

I firmly believe that having a Botm (Board of the Month) here at .org, benifit's all of our coder's. I think it is neat to go look at other site's that use the vbulletin software, but have added different hack's/mod's to their site's and to see how these hack's/mod's are being utilized. I personally don't believe that my site would be as great (my opinion) as it is, without .org and the coder's. I too, would love to see everyone that has a site that is built around vbulletin.com software, but upgraded with code's from within .org, share their work with everyone here at .org.

I sure hope the admin's/mod's continue on with this addition to .org. I for one am looking forward to seeing some very kick butt sites.

I would like to nominate Photo Sharing Forum because I think it is one of the best I have seen with a very nice look and feel. I also think that the entire site is very useful and interesting. It seems to be a fairly new site, but I think it has great potential. I've spent a few days searching for vBulletin sites, and this one stuck out to me.

Seconded..

Murty 06-08-2006 05:50 AM

I nominate www.youthwar.com [my forum]

It is a Christian Youth forum, and so far has being going really well. I really like the general casual, relaxed feel of it. There are quite a few mods/hacks on it to make it more interesting, but i love the rotating banners. If there is one thing anyone should like, it is the rotating banners :P (banner changes each time you reload the site). Still quite a lot of work i intend on doing on it, but its not looking to bad.

niels999 06-08-2006 10:46 AM

Today it's the 8 only 3 days left. Can someone of the staff give a overview of the nominees and votes already done? Would be nice to see who are in the run :)

Ntfu2 06-08-2006 02:42 PM

We dont pick them until the end of the 3 days so we cant tell you who is winning what yet :)

I know, but the current boards nominated... (Named) and the number of times they got called

Ntfu2 06-11-2006 12:41 AM

Tomorrows the last day ladies and gentlemen.

Any last minute entries for the first ever board of the month?

Adrian Schneider 06-11-2006 01:41 AM

I nominate SitePoint.

j1mmy 06-11-2006 01:44 AM

<a href="http://www.stuff-talk.com/forum" target="_blank">www.stuff-talk.com/forum</a>

A place where you could talk about anything and everything. It has many categories, for different topics. It really saves time when you can get everything there at one place. Although its not much now a lot of features are going to be installed this coming month such as personal photo galleries, webmail, chat and loads more. Alot of work has been done to it even the way you see it now. Its a nice general place to sit and chat about anything thats you have questions on or whatever, theres a place for everything...
It just needs to get its name out there, and i think it will be a wonderful place for many ages.

A great webmaster community. It has to be the greatest single resource I've found.

Freesteyelz 06-11-2006 07:05 AM

Hahaa. SirAdrian does have a point. A SitePoint for that matter. ;)

Yes, I know what it's about, but you need to follow the guidelines even if you would nominate vB.org ;)

OllieRocks 06-11-2006 12:57 PM

I would like to nominate Habbo Meadow Forum.

It is an active Habbo Hotel UK? based forum, aimed at 13-20 year-olds. It has quite a few modifications that make it extra special. It has forums for all sorts of discussion, Habbo Hotel and non-Habbo Hotel related. You can ask some specially trained Councillors questions in the ''Teen Life'' forums, discuss computers and technology and much more. I also like the idea of the portal and the very nicely designed badge system and arcade system.

The Moderation is also superb, with a strong Administration team, a great Super Moderating squad and brilliant Moderators to keep the forums safe. It also seems nice and welcoming when you first load it. The skin is also amazing and very nicely colour co-ordinated. An active forum, recieving more than 100 unique visitors a day, I am sure it deserves Board of the Month.

What if I were to second the nomination? :D

bashy 06-12-2006 08:09 AM

Hi peeps

I would like to nominate/second www.vbulletin.org
the reasons are, They have proved to be a valuable source of information and and code for my site. I also feel that the site has gone through a lot just latley and they are still here working through there issues, i feel many others would have pulled the plug or just banned certain members.....

Well done .org (i mean the site as a whole, members an 'all)
