i am not the quickest but by replacing do you mean changing spiderlist.xml to spiders_vbulletin.xml and upload?

Make sure the plugin is set to active (in its vBulletin settings). Also check that show spiders is turned on in the vBulletin Who's On Line options. If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall.

hugh_ 04-13-2006 05:30 PM

It may sound petty but I'd like remove the space after the botname and before the coma (eg: from "Google , MSNBot" to "Google, MSNBot").

Could someone tell me where that's done?

Thanks...

hugh

Very cool. thanks :)

Blue-Inc 04-13-2006 05:33 PM

Hm could you put the .xml in a zipped file, when i try and upload it, it says:

"XML Error: syntax error at Line 1"

I suck, I tried to copy the .xml code into my php editor saved it as .xml and I tried to upload it and it didn't work, and that's when I "XML Error: syntax error at Line 1" please help!

Thank you for the code hambil.

Developer 04-13-2006 06:09 PM

better to add number of bots online & add this number to total online.

hambil 04-13-2006 07:31 PM

Updated again...

Hell? 04-13-2006 07:45 PM

Um, this update kinda broken it, for me it shows in forumhome my members, 1 guest and 1 gigabot spider, apparently with 3 instances, but in WOL it shows only one Google and one Gigabot spider.

I didn't change any of that. I just put the count in, and put it up on the members/guests/spiders title. Otherwise it works exactly like it did. Other than the template cache this is just a visual update.

I'd like that too! Any way of changing it so that space is removed and it looks the same as the other users online with the comma straight after the name hambil?

Love this hack. :)

Thanks

Clancy

Look at the screen shot I included. It's displays exactly like the other names on my board. Can you give me a screen shot of yours?

So it does, how odd... most other boards I've looked at don't show that space. Anyway, here's a screenshot of mine.

Cheers

Well, I'm slightly stumped on this one. I'm not putting any spaces in as far as I can tell. I'll find it eventually. It will be an interesting journey. :)

right click on file....save target as....

SlaPPiE 04-14-2006 04:43 AM

For the spiders that are present, two more are being shown on FORUMHOME than what are actually there (according to online.php).

For example, there are 6 Yahoo! spiders present, yet it shows 8 on the FORUMHOME display. 3 for Gigabot instead of 1, etc.

See attachment for discrepancies.

yes ive just noticed the same thing

SlaPPiE 04-14-2006 06:21 AM

Well, it's not 2 off... since then I've noticed different errors, but there's a problem in the math somewhere.

hugh_ 04-14-2006 06:54 AM

I'm still getting the extra space despite uninstalling the old plugin and starting over. Also the coma is now bold which seems wrong...

Mosh 04-14-2006 08:35 AM

I have 29 bots on my forums atm, this is the amount being displayed:

Yahoo! Slurp (104), Gigabot (2), Majestics MJ12bot (2)

I actually have Yahoo! Slurp (27) Gigabot (1), Majestics MJ12bot (1)

There is a counting error somewhere in your code, but once that is fixed it will definately be an installed product for me :)

Another question, on my forum the color of the the bots on the online list are light blue, and you can hardly see it. Is there a way to change the color of the bots? thanks.

Rickie3 04-14-2006 10:13 AM

go adminCP>>>vbulletin options, click vbulletin options, the from the list scroll and find vbBOL settings,,chnge the colour to what you want and click save

Check the version update in the first post.

You can turn it off in the admin cp options. It's logged out users (guests) with ip address that match members in your database. If there is more than one member with the same ip address, then it displays vbBOL #n, and a tooltip will show all matching members. Otherwise, it just displays the member's name.

Rickie3 04-14-2006 12:07 PM

thanx for the update bro, looks heaps better cheers

Torqued 04-14-2006 02:35 PM

Any suggestions on how to get this working w/ the WOL in vBAdvanced CMPS? :)

Allan 04-14-2006 03:29 PM

Nice your upgrade, i lke, thanks :)

French language ;)

eNforce 04-14-2006 04:07 PM

Strange problem for me. The font color for spiders is wrong and it links the last member displayed in WOL to "#"

The font color can be changed to anything you want in the vbBOL options in the admin-cp.

The last member is a logged out user (a guest identified by ip address). The link is there for future use - I haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Gizmo5h1t3 04-14-2006 04:19 PM

love the way it detects a member whos viewing the board, without being logged in......heh heh....

Thanlks. I've spent a fair amount of time looking up ips of guests in the cp user search. It seemed logical as I was screening guest out as possible bots, to display them as logged out for the admins.

Mosh 04-14-2006 04:44 PM

Love it, it works like I want :) Clicked Install :)

I have tested the display logged out user feature, I might just want to point out that although it is a good feature, it can generate a lot of queries. A normal forumhome page is usually 16 queries, but with the logged out user feature enabled it was 108 queries that took over 8 seconds to display. Just a heads up.

Still love it :)

You are correct. I am removing the extra queries in the next mini release sometime shortly.

Ohhh, I see! ^_^

Difficult for me since I have a dark and light style to choose from, I need to use black and white colors separately :pirate:

Hmmmm. I'll have to add something to deal with skins.
