No, sorry it won't work with the whats going on box as it distorts the whole page. I'm going to be working on a version that does that in the next 10 days.

im having problems, i installed everything,but when i click on the custom link to add one, i cant see the words or anything and when i click on i get a error this one.,

This modification does not edit or create any tables in the database. From the links that you have provide it appears that you are referring to a modification that adds custom links to your navbar via the ACP.

It is only available on my site. Downloads on my site are only available to users in the vBulletin Users Group.

I have uploaded the zip file and extracted it but do I then put this in the xml root directory? I am a newbie and need some direction. I did manage to change the code in the Forumhome template but i think uploaded this in the wrong root directory.

The XML is imported through the Product Manager section of the admin control panel.

Go to Plugin System > Manage Products. On that page you will see a link to Add/Import Product. Click on there, then at the top there is a browse for file box the same as uploading attachments or avatars. Locate the file then click import.

edit the template 'sidecolumn' via your style manager and use HTML in there to add your content.

I don't want the web page to show on the forum home I just want the column (when clicked on) to go to a webpage in my website. I guess I could do that on the navbar....hmmm?

General Text
Multiple Blocks

All of the above are done by editing the template and using the appropraite HTML to insert the required item.

Things that can be added to the column with some further modification (should be mentioned already in this thread)

Login Box/User Info
What Going On Box Info (WOL, Forum Stats, Events, Birthdays, etc)

All of the above are done via enhanced modification to the forumhome template.

I installed version 2 on my test forum but having trouble getting the 'WOL, Stats, Upcoming Events, etc' to display. thats because you have got the zip from the 3.6.0 version there and are trying to install it on 3.5.4

please redownload the correct version from this thread and install.

Well I'm back LOL :confused:

I'm trying to use the side column area for a Google Adsence ad, but it doesn't show properly, It shows but its like a horz. banner not the vert. banner that the code is for, now if I put the code in twice, one will work properly?

Hi have installed this and love it.. have menus, google adsense, shop items from my oscommerce store all listed on a left coloum.

But is there a way I can make this show on every page on the forum and in threads etc?

I tried hacking it myself and taking the code out of forumhome and putting into HEADER template which seemed to work ok and was on everypage.. but it gets all out of shape when I go into some threads etc and the threads end up really low down on the screen with lots of whitespace.

any suggestions how I can make this menu apply anywhere on the forum please?

you will also need to put the second part of the code at the top of the footer template instead of in the forumhome template

Does anyone know how to add things like; Poll Vote, Latest Threads etc etc to a column? I have search for hows and there seems to be many people wanting this but now hack.

but I have seen loads of websites with the poll and threads in the sidebars.how is this done?
