^^ How are you entering your tags?

Anyone figure out how to set permissions?

Lalib 08-14-2006 07:39 AM

thanks installed ;)

matt3830 08-14-2006 05:56 PM

Is there a way to change this so that users can just enter the entire youtube url. Some of users have a hard time figuring out what piece of the url to use.

chkdgate 08-14-2006 08:44 PM

It's just the number tag, that's it. Just post an announcement on your forum with a screen capture of what to look for.

Gbml2u 08-16-2006 06:29 AM

enjoy :)

giorgiotave 08-19-2006 11:44 AM

Thanks, now is ok ;)

matt3830 08-21-2006 01:07 AM

Small problem using this in internet explorer 7. I have this setup with a button icon. A user highlights the video id in there entry and clicks the 'youtube' button. The tags are then insterted, like this:

[yt]lkjd9845[/yt]

But, in IE7 it does this:

[yt]
lkjd9845
[/yt]

The video just shows a blank white box, unless the user goes in a puts it all on one line. Any idea why this is happening?

GreysAnatomy 08-23-2006 11:47 AM

Works perfectly fine on my 3.6.0 too, thanks!

Kihon Kata 09-08-2006 04:41 AM

worked great!

chkdgate 09-08-2006 05:30 AM

Has anyone found out if you can set permissions yet?

Chad F. 09-10-2006 08:49 PM

How can I prevent members from using the yt bbcode in signatures only? Thanks.

DoUnCaDa 09-14-2006 05:51 PM

The embeded flash is running off youtube's server and there's no html to embed the code. It's all bb code and you're only posting the end numerical value of the video's url.

ecansel 09-26-2006 12:11 AM

Thank you working perfectly

SportsZone 09-29-2006 11:18 AM

Works fine on 3.6.1, thanks :)

TheBlackPoet 10-01-2006 09:35 AM

2 hours later........

i had to come back and thank you again....

thank you!!!

Daky 10-10-2006 03:23 AM

Nice Nice Nice

Freesteyelz 10-10-2006 03:26 AM

The popup menus will display behind the video so I've added the "transparency" value so that the menu will now display in front of the video as such:

Code:

<object width="460" height="364">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="460" height="364" wmode="transparent">
</embed>
</object>

Anyway, thanks for the mod. :)

wii 10-13-2006 06:17 PM

Great ! Works well in version 3.6.2

Thanks

wii 10-13-2006 10:35 PM

Would be nice to avoid the "click to active and use this control".

kylek 10-27-2006 02:14 AM

After trying out 2 involved hacks I should have done this one first, exactly what we were looking for, works great on 3.6.2.

Thank you!!

Prisoner 10-27-2006 10:34 PM

Installed. Nice and easy. Thank you!

Carmen27 10-28-2006 11:16 PM

Carmen

Carmen27 10-28-2006 11:18 PM

I don't see where I need to click so I can add my video..

this sucks cuz none of my videos are working with Anymedia and I was hoping this one would work.. Carmen

pscoln1 10-30-2006 06:25 PM

Will this work with vbulletin version 3.5.4?

But real quick I actually made it so the videos AUTO PLAY! which is pretty cool so your users dont have to click play, here is that code:

PHP Code:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}&autoplay=1"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object

Can you please elaborate on this a little? Which part of the code do you modify? I tried several ways with no success.

fishhub 10-31-2006 09:48 AM

it worked well initially. But I do not understand why it does not work today?

I got this.

rKpeDIFeV6U&autoplay=1">rKpeDIFeV6U&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">

smoknz28 11-04-2006 05:19 PM

I have added to my site, but can't get the YouTube video to embed.

What part of the code are we to input? Here's the code I'm trying to get embeded:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjVSjQpowMM

Seems that YouTube has changed their code to all start with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= I've changed the BB Code to start with this, but still no go. I wonder if YouTube caught on to this and changed their code to battle it?

Here's what I changed the code to read:

<object width="425" height="350">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v={param}">
</param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v={param}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Thanks,
Mark

We are using the original code that Danny posted and it still works fine for us.

This only seems to apply to IE. It takes 2 clicks to get the video playing in IE and 1 in firefox.

Any way around this to make IE a single click?
