Am I the only one that finds this really funny? Lol ^.^ I want to add rep!

Funny really, because I find that light skins are harder on my eyes than dark skins. The brighter glare of light skins tends to hurt my eyes over time, were dark skins don't have that effect on me.

I actually perfer darker skins which uses grey and black tones. I just like the styles of dark skins over light skins. Maybe it's me, but it seems as though colors are better viewed over a dark skin.

i like my styles to be either all black with dark grey text or all white with bright yellow text. havent seen any complaints yet :P
seriously tho i prefer light over dark

definately light but not too light. The vB Default is too light, but the purple style here is just right. :) Also, no red or green. Blues or purples are best but have to be used in moderation, and no white but lots of off-white (say #FEFEFE)

It's probably because the contrast of a dark BG and light text colors cause more eye fatigue than with a lighter BG and darker text colors.

They are usually impossible for people with bad vision and/or obscure types of colorblindness too.

It depends on the site. Some sites really need a dark style while others need a light style.

Personally I've always preferred a dark style over light styles.

I think it depends on the site you're running - You wouldn't use a dark skin on a more upbeat board, nor would you use a bright and cheery style on a goth site. I usually just see what's going to work best with the site I'm developing and then go from there.
