Please keep this thread for constructive criticism and bug reports. This hack is marked a BETA release, meaning it's going through it's debugging phase. The more patient everyone is, the quicker the hack could evolve into a great and stable product. :) Negative comments only flood the thread and get the coders a little upset.

Respect the man, fool. That wasn't nice, you know that. Besides you gotta be thankful 'cause he's doing it for free!

I can't ignore that error. The media gets added to me media folder but not to my jukebox... What's the point of just storing music when I can't even listen to it?

ReadOrDie 12-10-2005 07:08 PM

Please fix the error soon.

I'm currently not @ home so do not have access to the most recent code.

But, I found that a very recent feature I added right before release is not closed properly, and is affecting the Jukebox system.

I'm really sorry for the inconvienience, if you do not want the Jukebox to be active, go to the Jukebox Settings page in the ACP, close it and specify a reason there, and I will have an update so it is functioning correctly with a couple hours.

EDIT: I quickly administered a temporary fix to the files, a more perminant fix will be released when I get home, but for now, just download the zip and just reupload jukebox.php.

ReadOrDie 12-10-2005 07:54 PM

Thanks for fixing the error however a new error is up.

The extension of the file you want to link or upload to the database is not allowed.
The allowed extensions are:
mpg,mpeg,avi,mov,wmv,mp3,mp2,mpg,mp4,wav,ogg
The file I used the link to is an mp3 file so I don't see what the problem is...

I am as of right now working on 0.9 which should fix all the problems you are having. It will be released within 2 days (from a couple hours to a couple days)

I'll send an update to all people that clicked install when it's released.

Yes, you can add a media file that plays something from a foreign location.

That feature is of course under construction since entering a link to the file won't work. ;)

ShadowOne 12-12-2005 02:07 PM

Cant Wait For The Update...

Cole2026 12-12-2005 11:11 PM

Yup, the update should eliminate most of the problems going on.

I'm taking my time this time around, I'm almost finished though!

This update 0.9 is a 75% rewrite of the code, alot has been optimized, and it handles everything so much cleaner because of a very simple data manger I created for it. :)

ugmphelon 12-13-2005 03:07 AM

can not wait, when do u expect this?

Actually, I think you misunderstand me.
I have an existing library of files that I don't necessarily want to load onto another server. I just want to have pointers to the original locations (on a seperate server on the internet.

I can understand that I can upload .pls and .m3u files.

Nice Mod BTW... I really like it.

I have the same error with him.
I use vbulletin 3.5.0 (upgraded from 3.0.9). What should I do ?

ReadOrDie 12-15-2005 09:54 PM

That error usually gets created when the xml files you uploaded havn't created themselves into your database. Are you sure you uploaded the XML files to the FTP in the right folder?

At least mySQL 4.0.4 is necessary in order to install this.

From Webhost manager, I found mySQL only 4.0.25-standard, that is why the table wasn't created.

Is it any way that you can make it install the table with mySQL 4.0.25?

Also any know how to update mySQL from WHM? thank you!
