This is the UK - Roads have needed to be fixed for the last 15 or more years - So far about 5% of the roads have been re-surfaced, the rest are like minature obstacle courses in some places, and are left to become run-down and potholes are allowed to develop...

Yes the sports facilities will be used for countless sports, all worshiped by the mindless masses... How much better we will be for promoting and encouraging the lager lout to go to a more upmarket piss-up...
Within 5 years after the Olympics the state of these "new facilities" will be on par with council flats or sub-urban slums that exist already, with grafiti, and countless areas suffering from drug-related littering i.e. needles...
All this will accomplish is something new for the average idiot British citizen to trash :(
