Because 'someone' don't know if you are entitled to vB3.0.7, and his license agreement explicit forbid distributing files.

As said, it does make sense: You are not allowed to copy vBulletin from anywhere else then Jelsoft Members Area.
Yes, bot users are allowed to run vB - but both are not allowed to dustribute their vB files, easy as that :)

I'm using vB3.5.0b2 on my forums and I'm posting here with the URL to my forums in my profile.... I must be using vB illegaly.

And as you are using 3.0.7 AND being a mod who can check me out,.. can't u just provide me these 3 templates instead of making it harder for the community to get what they want as WE are providing hacks for free after we've paid many dollars to get the software.

So in THAT case all vBulleting Hacks on this forums are ILLEGALLY because your redistribute some of the code in the installation files (saying: replace this: [OFFICIAL VB CODE!!!!] with this [a couple official code and some additions].

So what's the difference between releasing hacks WITH official vB code or sharing 3 little templates for 10 minutes.

I will download it, only this distribution-thing doesn't make any sence.

You've been posting here for 20 Minutes arguing the license agreement, which most likely won't change.
In the meanwhile, you could have already downloaded and installed 3.0.7, or grabbed the Templates from the XML :)

Maybe, yes.
You might want to ask Jelsoft staff (Wayne Luke, etc.) for clarification.

It is not allowed to distribute significant parts of the copyrighted code. Pasting a whole template could be considered a significant part yes (beside the fact it is bad practise to let members replace complete templates, since they might not use the default template to start with).
