Are you sure about that? ;)

Oh yeah.
So's my members. :)

Ok, then I'm confused. I thought you said that the [ QUOTE ] tags here on vBT always placed the quote below the users reply. Clearly, my previous post has the quote above my reply. :)

So, where is this happening? Is it on a different board?

shiva 07-27-2002 10:02 PM

Sorry, meant my board, this one works perfectly

It's the new template I did for the forums at my site. All I know is no matter what, it always puts the quote at the bottom of the actual posts. The only thing I can think of is a template change, or a server thing, since my site upgraded to the latest version of PHP/MYSQL/Apache etc. Don't see how though. (This is 2.2.6) Maybe it's something in this version of VB? It's a fresh copy, and downloaded only 2 weeks ago at that.

The other license run by a friend is 2.2.2, doesn't have that problem, it places the quote ABOVE the user's comments.

Maybe we should move this to the official site, they might know about it, though I searched and no answer came up.

Ahhhh, now I see. :)

Well, let me ask you this... when you click the "Quote" link in a post, do you see the code in the reply box?

shiva 07-28-2002 01:39 AM

Oh yeah. Complete with the quote tags and everything.
it doesn't matter if you put your comment text either before the opening quote tag, or afterwards.
I actually like it this way, but just wanted the quotes before hand was all.
Maybe I did change it, as it worked fine, but after adding a couple of the mods here, it started to put the quote after the post instead of before like it did before.

That's the reason I was asking where the quote code was, if it was in a template somewhere, so I can double check it. I have modified more than the average amount of templates for this design, so just wanted to double check it, but no idea where to look. :(

It's in your "Custom vB Codes" section of your Admin Control panel.
