I need this as well!!

My company would be willing to pay for this modification if someone were willing to make it.

I know this is an option in there, and an admin at our forum actually enabled this on a set of forums.

However, we have now found that our members would rather have this function turned off, and I can't seem to find where that admin set that option.

I am fairly sure that he did not in fact edit the template directly, and this is not set to collapse on all forums but only a few.

I searched here and found this asked twice, and I see that it is answered, yes it's possible, but no where have I found where it can be enabled/disabled....can anyone help?

<font color="darkgreen">This would be nice to have. Perhaps having it detect if js is enabled/suported and if so then automatically collapse the category.

I've searched and found tons of threads that have nothing to do with this topic but are included in the search simply because with all th programming terms and functions posted, searching for anything here on vb.org is practically useless.</font>

umm can we get some feedback or why are we not getting feedback on this? i want to collapse all the category's on my site to minimize the length and have it so when users click the category it un collapse.. i have looked threw all the admin cp ffeatures maybe i missed it? or maybe VB took the feature out all together if so i think this feature should be enabled again. should be the administrators option to use it or not.. not just because the majority does not liek to collapse there category's. any feedback regarding this would be nice ;)

This is just a forum for people to post ideas, no-one has an obligation to make any of the ideas posted or provide any feedback. If a coder wants to they may decide to take up an idea but that is their own personal choice. In the meantime just remain patient. ;)
