There are a multitude of features that make amember a very good script.

Vbulletin out of the box does not provide those features. But, we can always add them in. ;) I'm not knocking your script, but I think that people who don't have the extra money can have bells and whistles with the subscription service too.

I agree that Vbulletin is very weak on reporting tools when it comes to subscriptions.

It is true Amy that you could probably add them in... but I think you said it yourself a couple of weeks ago that coders here look occassionally at the requests forums when they have time and if it interests them, they may attempt the hack.

But then it becomes a support issue. And what happens when vB 3.5 comes out and the coder decides to either not update the hack or just takes their time?

It's a risk that some may take, others may not like that risk and need something a little more stable - especially when it comes to monitizing their website.

Cheers,

~Regs.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I happened to see something at the Amember site that has peeked my interest and its the @mail support (which I use as well and until now couldnt get integrated with VB).

I am going to look at all the options listed here thoroughly and I appreciate everyones time in posting.

what exactly are you looking for?
the vb system works -- it does the job

accepts payment
displays purchased item (reg date/expiry date)
buyer is notified 2 weeks prior to end of subscription

LOL, I guess that's it -- I can't think of anything else. :D
