Well if AOL proxies do what they should and forward the original client ip in the http headers then you can use the proxy > real ip hack. I can't test that from where I am at the moment.
|
I have it installed.
However those members do not show any icon that reflect a proxy is detected for an ip to be resolved. |
Someone needs to give AOL a slap :p
Satan |
Thats what im saying.
Have any of you had a member you couldnt get rid of due to unlimited IP addys? |
Yes and it is almost impossible to get rid of those. All you can do is try to frustrate whatever they are doing as much as you can. Have a look at the miserable users hack.
|
Yeah I am a hack wh*re and have that installed already :) . My friends are great, but my enemies can be very determined........
I was on a board that was using vb2.x.x and it would spider through and ban every ip address used by that member automaticlly. Is anyone aware of a hack like that? |
IT is a bit dangerous to automatic ban ip's.
|
Its just crazy that aol is really a proxy like software..... Whats the point of buying proxy software, all someone needs to do is the "bring your own connection" for 10 bucks a month....
So I guess the bottom line is that if someone wants to make my life a living hell on my board they can. |
