hmmm, strange, i followed the file edits again and i found that most of the templates were gone so i re-done the install and choose the templates only and it worked.

That must be it. The store header template was modified, so it wasn't deleted on upgrade. Yes, since the installer puts the templates in the master style, unfortunately vB will delete it on an upgrade. I wish there was a custom master style so I could avoid that, but there isn't.
Anyone having this problem should run the installer and click the link to re-install the templates. |

If you just did a fresh install on 3.0.6, then that is not your problem. Check over your includes/init.php and global.php edits, as well as if you are in a custom usergroup.
