You need to fix your zip files man. Bad zip files...

tp214 04-17-2005 01:12 AM

yeah totally bad, dont even work

Marco van Herwaarden 04-17-2005 06:10 AM

Files download ok for me, also no problem opening them in WinZip.

Darkwaltz4 04-18-2005 03:56 AM

Downloads have, and continue, to both download, unzip, and very easily install for me, i dont know what is wrong with regards to that

khaleel: the problem was a bunch of table prefix things, which i fixed with the new file up there, so just slap that in place of the old one, thats all you have to do to fix it

Open using Winzip 9. It says error, go to http://www.winzip.com/zip20.htm

I went there and it says:

Unsupported Zip format

If you have been directed to this web page, it may be that you are running an older version of WinZip. The current release is WinZip 9.0. All registered users can download a free upgrade. If you have not registered, you can click here to download a fully functional evaluation version.

WinZip supports the Zip 2.0 standard file format, which is the specification used by the vast majority of applications on the market that process Zip files. Some older versions of WinZip, however, may not support recent changes and enhancements to the Zip file format. The current release of WinZip, WinZip 9.0, supports many changes to the Zip file format that had been documented at the time WinZip 9.0 was released.

You can determine the installed release of WinZip by clicking the About button in the initial WinZip Wizard panel, or by clicking the About WinZip item on the Help menu in the WinZip Classic interface.
You need to use a new version of WinZip, man. I even use WinRAR to try to open it, but still, errors occur.

MarcoH64, what version of WinZip do you use???

Marco van Herwaarden 04-20-2005 03:28 AM

Winzip 9 (6028)

emtee 04-20-2005 04:30 AM

Ok I downloaded WinZip 9 and it can extract the file. Your zip files are not compatible with WinZip 8!!! Thanks MarcoH64

Doesn't vBulletin do this in default?

Master style : drop down > add template > adds to all templates.

I have found that generally it does. I have had numerous instances where this did not happen and I had to modify a few templates in multiple styles.

However, I no longer use multiple skins..

Intrested in how i can use the stick file created to make it easier for me to install all my custom templates again ?

Darkwaltz4 07-31-2005 06:30 PM

Khaleel: you appear to not have a template table (or your config file does not have the prefix listed as the one you are using. How my page could be the only one giving you this error I have no clue, although I'm sure youve fixed this by now :-p

nfe: Easy, just run it, select Lift after selecting the style your custom templates are on, and if you run the resulting stick file, it will hard-install them on whatever its run on (by itself, which is the beauty of it, absolutely nothing to install for the person who runs a stick file)

so select your custom templates, and save the stick file for the future. this seems for me best for when doing hacks, as i can make a template-install system which saves even the 'last edited by Darkwaltz4 on July 30, 2005' message :-p also, for when i fiddle with a hack on my test site, and then decide its time for upgrades, i select the templates that changed, make a stick file, and it becomes the template installer for the upgrade script. then i press those custom files, and then take a new stick file of all of them, and i have a template install script for the new version.

for a good example of where i used this (and i recommend you use this for your own hacks [at least for 3.0] in the same way):
