well, vb.org belongs to Jelsoft, and thats the reason, why you should email those things directly to piracy@vbulletin.com

If you send them to the vb.org staff, all we can do is to write an email to piracy@vbulletin.com..

No, it will not. Jelsoft doesn't police hacks. We will work against piracy sites that distribute vBulletin and its individual parts. We will fight piracy if a site is using vBulletin to distribute hacks they do not have permission to distribute. However, we do not have the resources or capital to fight piracy on individual hacks that are being distributed independantly of vBulletin. Each hack author would have to protect his own intellectual property rights that way, just like any other software publisher. Even then we do the best to protect hack authors.

We are looking at ways to prevent these dishonest license holders from diluting the vBulletin name and distributing hacks like this though. This is the number one cause of vBulletin Piracy right now. There are people who have purchased licenses simply to distribute vBulletin and its hacks on blackmarket channels.

This site is looking to be a good place for people to get a copy of vB3 and hacks. If I had found this one a year ago when I was... "unlicenced"... I would've been happy. I'm glad that I paid though, it's definitely been worth it. I feel stupid for running an unlicenced copy. :(

That site should be shut down. The hacks on it seem to be "free" copies of pay hacks. Not good.

They also seem to have a copy of the vBorg style and the AlienSoup style, perhaps they've got someone on the inside of these sites? :( Too bad the world is coming to this.

Surely anyone caught using the styles here:

Would have some kind of action taken against them by someone?

There's styles there that people have paid HUGE amounts of money for.. This is really wrong. I'd be seriously pissed if I saw my work available on sites like this.

Laughs at the ignorance in this thread. Reporting them will only make them move to a new server or webhost. Most of them have over seas hosting anyways. Why they pay so much to put illegal stuff on the web is beyond me but they do.

No im not saying its right to do what they do but to boob over this is plain silly.
There will always be people out there that will get it and post it for everyone. All we can do is pay for it and know moraly we did the right thing. I payed for my VB and have seen many of sites out there that have illegal copies. But i know my site will never be hassled or shut down by VB or some skin creator. They cant say the same.

Sorry if i offended anyone but its the truth. Report someone give it less then a week there site will be right back up. VB or the skin places give the hosts or the user the right to take it down before action is taken. This to me is useless if someone is using your paid script dont give a chance nail them or the hosts. Make a example so no one wants to do it anymore. Stop boobin.

That is the primary reason that sites using or distributing pirated vB software SHOULD be reported. If no one bothers to report them, they'd have no reason to worry about being hassled or shut down.. and then even more people would be tempted to use pirated software.

I got an idea, how about VBulletin makes a site like that, and whoever goes, there IP is caught, and then they can play with them....

*scary laugh*
