Jelsoft can keep there price so low, because they have so many customers. For a custom piece of coding, prices can also go as high as this, simply because that's the price for the amount of work that's behind it.
Or would you work for 3$ an hour?

tend to agree. the only variable now is the quality of the software. i tried googling vbauction and found zero reference to it. vbauction.com was registered 2 weeks ago and pbjunkie.com was started in march. so very little history behind the software.

unfortunately, there is a zero refund policy. otherwise i wouldn't mind trying it out and let everybody know. now i am not sure if i should risk US$120...

vbAuction uses ultimate auction for the backend. Feel free to stop in and there's plenty of reference to it.

You are correct. You are purchasing an addon but you might want to look at the features before you pass. Since the backend is ultimateauction ($300-400) I think the quality of the package and the testing that has went into it to make sure you get a bug free addon is well worth the $120 price tag. :)

I agree with this. For one of my sites, I spent about $140 for a user registration/billing script that was well worth it. If you have a large site where an auction may be a popular feature, $120 can more than pay for itself if you decide to charge like eBay does.

You can view the VB Trader at www.ozezyhosting.com .... its cheaper then the vbauction ;)

Yes. It has been all packaged together and named vbAuction. :)

The reason I went with vbauction is because the backend is "tried and true", it integrates with the post-bit which allows you to get rid of the feedback forum for B/S/T forums. It even permits the member to enter feedback from the B/S/T forums, not just auctions.

Last but not least, show me a package with these features: http://www.vbauction.com/featurelist.html

trafix, where can I find more info about VB Trader? I went to evb and found only posts about it, but I would like to see a website with more info. Can you please post a link to it? Thanks.

Yes, I would... I'm guessing you're not the WHT type :)

i tried the demo and it lists all the charges as a bill and have the seller pay afterwards. can it charge the seller upfront for the auction fee?
