sabret00the 04-15-2004 01:55 PM

Uh...yes? On a site paid for by the company who develops vBulletin, it becomes people's business.

(Yes, he's licensed)

Dean C 04-15-2004 02:15 PM

Yes it is :)

KOM 04-15-2004 09:00 PM

Hmmm , well just ask your self, would I be able to look at code if I was not licensed? ????
2nd if it was waraz Why the F*&^* would I post that ??
and Sabret00the is right it's non of your business I fell.

I DOn't go asking people if they have a license

KOM - the staff of vbulletin.org have every right to know whether you are a licensed member or not. Although, since staff are able to easily identify anyone not showing up as licensed, the chances of a staff member asking this is relatively slim.

If someone approached me for help with their vBulletin (outside of vbulletin.org) you can bet your arse that the first thing I'm going to want to find out is if that person is a valid license holder. ;)

I agree with you, Rose. But dont you think that question should be answered in a PM or email? It's not that I dont think they should answer, but I think that people's privacy should be respected too.

Dean C 04-16-2004 11:37 AM

The reason we ask in public sometimes is not always for our benefit. If you see the unlicensed post in public it means that you should not help that person until we validate them as showing up as licensed. It further restricts unlicensed support.

KOM - there's no need to be so rude about my inquisitions. I will further inquire to you about your site as that header signature is not default of that with vBulletin.

For now this thread will be closed.
