Yeah if your using child skins, but im not and i don't want to, so this helps me out a s**t load (since currently i have 8 skins) so yeah, its useless but usefull too
|
Yes, you should ALWAYS have a Parrent child setup
Master -SkinA --SkinA Child -SkinB -SkinC -SkinD --SkinD Child ---Child of Skin D Child Now adding a template to the master (defautl vB templates) makes things simple, and i dont mean the vB's Master either Besides if i understand how your doing it now, what happens when you upgrade vBulletin to 3.0.0RC5 or 3.0.1 and the master style gets rewritten? |

it would be nice to be able to edit templates and it will alter all the styles if the template is present in it.
|
You can already do this, its part of vBulletin 3's default features, its called Parrent and Child inheirtence.
Make a at the top most level, and all templates under the top most level will be changed, UNLESS a child already has this template changed. |
where is the automatic template add option in admincp??
|
When you go to add template, theres a drop down menu to add to all templates, but it seems this hack is pointless if you have a prent skin, if not then i suppose it is of some use

I've installed it, I've been wanted to add other skins but couldn't be bothered redoing the hacks, this has saved loads of time :)
