Try this:

AdminCP > Plugins & Products > Add New Plugin > Use the following settings:

Product: vBulletin
Hook Location: forumdisplay_query
Title: (Anything you want, doesn't matter)
Execution Order: Leave as Default
Plugin PHP Code:

PHP Code:

Is Active?: Yes
