Yeah look how jagged that is compared to mine... http://www.vb-host.com/computer688.gif and like I said mine came from the HTML Writers Guild Clipart CD they gave to members at an after MacWorld dinner around 4 years ago... So doubt it is just ripped off art... I wonder from how jagged that pic is if he even owns the cd.. or ripped it off someones site and altered the background... that above pic is a bad clean up job... Might wanna ask him about it. ;)

anyway barrys world has been around for 4yrs + and if they ripped it (highly doubt it) then why has a large comapny like that escape being sued?

nope... I never even heard of this guy until you gave me the link... So, with that... I think your friend Barry has the SAME clip art cd as I given by the HTML Writers Guild to it's paid members. Your friend Barry might be in some gaming magazines and such.. but that don't mean the image is his. The HWG has had booths at every major Internet convention in the last 5 years including internet world, linux world and mac world and gives many after event dinners and parties at these as well. I think that is a lot bigger then some ads in a magazine... So unless your friend Barry can show trademark to that image to HWG to have it removed from the member cd and have the HWG send notice to it's members I feel that the image is of public domain.

With that can we please now get back on to the topic of this post....

No one is out to sue them because the image is clipart ;) It's not like he is using something trademarked...

saying something is clipart is all well and true and is a good way of getting out of the debate of hey thats ripped, however if folk at barrys world have a psd file your buggered and chances are they will seens how they use this image alot and on differnt things, with many iterations, lastyly when i say psd i dont mean a gif on 1 layer i mean they,ll have a built up version of it probably copyroghted by themselves

lastly barry is not a person hes a corporation, and hes not a friend i just cant go blatant rips

Well actully I have a PSD of this as well as all the images on this cd are in gif, jpg and photoshop formats.. I think this thread is only turning into a flame to discredit my company and promote another hosting company...
