Pointless?

Scenerio: You have a user registering SPAM accounts. They then SPAM everywhere, and before being banned, transfers all of their ponts to their main account.

What do you do? Will you just all out ban the user? Or should you decide to take away their points and making sure they don't get 1 more?

The person who requested this had users making SPAM accounts. He requested it, I made it quickly. Sure, some people would just ban the user, but not everyone want 1,000 banned users. ;)

Good and useful hack Link14716. One thing that I would like to see or maybe I'll just try to do this haha, thats a good one, is to have it last for a period of time like sabret00the said. Perhaps even have it as a new option with the warnings hack so its easier to use and it could send out emails to the user about the ban on points, well just a idea that I might do if I even figure out what I'm doing. :)

yep but i do agree with sabret00the on this one and am not knockin gyour hack - anything to do with store is a good thing in my book but how about make it an option so someone can block someone from getting points for a certain amount of time

Example B is annoying me today so i go store cause i know he cant afford much at moment so i bang this upon him and cause he cant afford to bail himself out (thus losing points) he is forced to wait to the timer runs out which will be specified)

Stop his post count as well in the process - remove his avator as well LOL now we talking or even make it so the user who has this forced upon them has to be forced to have your avator to the time is out.

That would be well neat and very annoying but all in name of fun.

As I said, if you want to do it for a specific period of time, it shouldn't be too hard ;) I'll add this in tonight or tommorow.

btw you should make the add-on to delay getting points for a referral to after 5 posts or something but anyhoo, if you bring in the fun factor i'll be installing ^_^

I really don't get the need for a "fun factor". This is supposed to be something like banning the user from getting points as a punishment.

well the stores fun, everyone wants fun things, if i wanted to ban someone i'd just ban em :-s
