Then he didn't GIVE you the board. He is letting you use it. Big difference. Until he gives you the numbers, he can take it back at any time.

He gave me some 8 digit number. If he ever took it back I would simply buy a license. But right now I am covered.

You cannot have the same licensed vB running on 2 forum sites that are live. That is illegal. They need to be 2 separate licenses - your friend cannot just give you his vB copy and number, while running the same vB himself.

Read above. He purchased 5 copies and only used 3 and gave me 1. That equals 4 with one remaining.

That's fine then. Why would he want to buy 5 copies? And only use 3?

Yep, future projects that never amounted to anything. He tried to sell it but I talked him out of it. hehe So does anyone know of any other boards that will be helpful instead of talking about if I have a registered copy or not. I heard you guys were anal but this is ridiculous.
