I used to be on perl too :) I used to use UBB when I was like 11, and thought it was the best thing in the world :p

Mist its not your php ;) its our php.

I am going to learn wide variety of programing languages, computer-based, hardware based, and web development based....in time :)

I personally prefer to use ASP :) That was the first language I learned so it feels good/easy to me :)

I have to mention though that I've seen some sites that have the extention of .php and I've had talks with the site owner and he's said that he just put the extention on to make the site look more professional.

and i think it has nothing to do with the extension.
even a .htm extenstion can be a professional site...
it's just a harder way ;)

Remember it could be PHP or ASP parsed with a .htm extension ;)

IMHO if a companies that bothered about it, remove the extension or used one thats custom.

At the end of they day, use the language thats best suited to the job and the hardware.

Well I used to be at wonder how sites include vars and pull information into html :-p then i found out APACHE SSI...its soo cool :)

Alot of companies prefer ASP because its Microsoft, simple as that.
