Looks nice, but, there are many free alternatives that can be used.

The free altenatives suck however ... I haven't seen anything this powerful/feature loaded.

Couple of questions:
1) Branding? I assume we can customize the front end completely as long as we leave the Copyright info? It does say template based.
2) In line images? I uploaded an attachment (jpg), the program briefly flashed another page which looked to have formatting info, but then vanished... ?
3) Note that hitting Tab after subject line entry does not go into the message body :(

I would email chen@hivemail.com or even doododaa@hivemail.com I am guessing what every username that doesn't exisit in the database goes to his email anyways

You are alowed to customize the whole look of the whole system, as it is run by templates, as long as the Copyright info is there.

Thanks...
I'm in contact with him. This looks like the good stuff. I allow my subscribing members email now, but using NeoMail, which obviously lacks big time. The ability in Hive Mail to implement usergroups, tag all outgoing and brand makes it worth the $ IMHO.

Now, if it just hooked into the vB db, it would be perfect :)

It looks good - but I have no need for it

Smoothie 11-16-2002 11:26 PM

yea, I would be curious to see how many would pay for web mail.

Sparkz 11-17-2002 12:56 AM

Unless he changed something from the first test version he ran here, I don't like it. If I am not mistaken it stores all mails in the database, and does not include an option to talk to an IMAP mail server.

of course, this may have changed, and that makes it a different matter alltogheter.

which forces members to visit your site to get email. ;)

it looks very smart, but i am on a shared server so i doubt that we happen... :(
