Stop complaining people, be glad he was willing to share it. Gosh. All this ranting on about things doesn't do anybody no good.

It is an alternation, modification of any code, being PHP file, template, whatever, which makes it qualify as a hack. I seriously do not see the problem.

Ok guys it may not seem a incredibly advanced or complicated hack but its a hack none the less. Its editing the php files and therefore this qualifies as a hack.

Next time i will do more... as i stated this was my first and a rather simple one... and yes sure it was editing only just one php file... but nonetheless... an admin cp has not templates therefore none to be edited... and no vb queries were needed... since the hack makes the nav option and inserts it... sure its simple... yet i thought it would be a great help for ppl... the reason i released it... no i know im not an expert hacker just a beginning learning... but thanks to those who thought of it useful i certainly did... thats why i released it ;) hope that helps and for those that don't think it is a hack no biggy... next time i'll try doing more... but as i stated its an addition to the admin cp thats all ^.-

Its not about the hack using lots of complex functions as long as the hack does what you planned to do via whatever means.
