well if it is more important to you to keep your hacks than to have a backdoor closed, do not upgrade. personally when i hear the word 'security fix', i dont care if i have the hole entire database of vb.org hacks installed... i upgrade asap.

Same here,no matter how many hacks I have,if there's a potential risk,I always upgrade asap.

But doesn't someone usually make a "hack" saying what only needs to be changed.

Such as PPN did for 2.21-2.2.2 ;)

i already compared the codes. i came to the conclusion that is better to upgrade the classic way if you are not comfortable 100% with PHP. if you are stubborn like me, get araxis merge and do it yourself. it's alot better then a text file from where you copy and paste.
