If this is still available and it isn't demanded to be taken down I may have to think about trying this on a test board of 3.8.11 because Windows IIS is awful. The question is is it only PHP that's been updated for it? In other words; what MySQL and Apache/nginx version is supported along with PHP 7.4?

Upgraded it, but when I switch to PHP 7.4 it doesn't work.

you must not have done it properly, over a year and you are the ONLY case saying it is not working. I even know of a few big boards using this successfully.


Fresh install.
Download vb 3.8.11 from your members area, before installing overwrite the 3.811 files with the ones i provided. run your install script.

upgrade install.
make sure you still have the 3.8.11 core files, upload them to your forum. the upload my files, run upgrade script.

just clicked the link in your sig, seems to be working to me...

not all products will be compatible, you will need to disable / enable them one by one to find out which ones are not php 7 compatible. some have been upgraded some have not.

I am not redistributing Vbulletin complete, nor am I nulling it. I simply modify core files and release them where the end user must have an actual license and the default core to be able to use... there's no reason they would send me a cease distribution, specially when they no linger support this version.

And yes it is only the PHP that has been updated (thus far)
