if you put the file name as http://www.youforum.com/download.php? file=http://www.download.com/file.zip

You are exposing the url and people can see which file they are trying to download!

Well normal attachments are stored in the database so unless you have permissions you can't d/l them

I am using this with a popup so people wont see the file url

You also disabled right clicking so they can't copy the URL?
