Okay, here is a revision:

• The error message is now part of the product. I inadvertently saved it as part of vBulletin before.
• The username check is now case-insensitive.

I left the usergroup option. You can exclude admins using it.

"You cannot send a PM which includes your own username as a recipient. Please use your browser's back button to edit the recipient field accordingly."

Here is another revision for the possibility that a user will put spaces before or after their own username...those will now be trimmed when checking the recipient usernames. :)
