-   -   How Do I Create Another CMS Page? (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=318542)

Sorry but I don't think you guys are understanding what im asking. I know how to use the cms on the front page.. i want to leave that as it is. I want to create another page entirely of cms that can be edited just like the front page. Right now the cms is my home page.. I want to leave that alone. I want to create another page with cms so I can add articles and have it be another tab in the navbar that goes to it's own page. Two cms pages in total okay? The stock cms page vbulletin comes with for the front page/home page and another cms page that I can call "Articles" in the navbar.

Does that clear it up?

I understood that very well, and I have answered it. You have ignored it, however.

Add a new section.

Hello there,
Can you confirm what exactly is the user asking about ?
You replied this ((If you're aiming at getting a second root page in the CMS: This has been asked numerous times before, and it is not possible,))

Unsure what functionality is the OP asking about..
this should be acheivable by adding new sections i guess, but confused

yeah I actually just thought of this as an option. I've never done it before but played around a little bit with it and while it's not a whole new page in the navbar, it is still a clickable link that brings you to a separate set of articles I can have in just three rows. Could even break it down further.

Ideally there'd be another option for the cms entirely as I don't really like the look of it but maybe it's just my theme. It's got this hideous blue background in the section previews that I cant seem to find anyplace in a template or stylevar to change. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/05/21.png

Having read his last post, I'm pretty sure he's not really sure himself.

Thanks cellarius..
Appreciate your reply, seems OP is asking to open a specific category as homepage ... (with sub-category enabled naming same as CMS.)..

But not to hijack topic but I am unable to understand this reply from your end.

Can you allow me to PM you.. only for this question.

Shoot, but I really won't be able to contribute much more than that: In the past, people have asked if it is possible to run something like a second CMS instance. Normally, you have one landing page in the CMS, and under that root page all other sections and pages.

Example:

Root
- Section 1
- Section 2
- Section 3

The following is not possible:

Root 1
- Section 1
- Section 2

Root 2
- Section 1
- Section 2

Thanks for quick clarification appreciate..
Code:

Example:
Root
- Section 1
- Section 2
- Section 3

I assume above part is doable..

PHP Code:

The following is not possible:
Root 1
Section 1
Section 2

Root 2
Section 1
Section 2

This is my question in this part, what is root 1 and root 2 ??
I understood your pervious replies which meant same, but what does above both means.. ?
2 different sites/database or something more achievable but vbulletin lacks this feature ?

cellarius 05-09-2015 05:04 AM

The latter. Like two seperated CMS instances with one installation.
