By default, ours does verification once per year with the birthday email.

How often would you want to do this?

ozzy47 12-03-2014 09:39 PM

This is not a email, this is a popup when the user visits the forum, or shall I say will be if I ever get going on it. :)

ozzy ask for help from other coders if you are having problems

ozzy47 12-03-2014 10:23 PM

Well I am not having any problems just yet. I was going to start on this, but I am debugging some issues with my latest release, so this got put off for a bit.

ForceHSS 12-03-2014 10:46 PM

if you need a tester pm me will be up for a few more hrs

ozzy47 12-03-2014 10:53 PM

For my other mod? Nah I can see what the issues are, just not sure what to do about it just yet.

joeychgo 12-05-2014 07:56 AM

Well, Im hoping you get that resolved so you can start on this one.. :)

ozzy47 12-05-2014 10:37 AM

Me too, but I am a bit under the weather, so I have not spent much time looking into it.

If necessary I would pay for this as well.

What I want is a mod that, periodically (admin set time frame) will provide a pop up when a member logs in that displays the user's email and asks them to confirm this is still a correct email address, and offers them a link to change it if it isn't.

How would they verify? Click another link?

Seems like this wouldn't be all that tough to set up, Ozzy, using the PM system. Designated account sends the PMs on the set intervals? So instead of a popup, they get a PM alert?

ozzy47 12-05-2014 10:47 AM

Well it would be a popup similar to this, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=270070

Then in the message, the way I would like to see it, if feasible, is it asks, hey you, is this your email addy? If user clicks yes, it updates the DB with TIMENOW, so they don't get the message till the time you set is up. If they click no, then inside the same popup, there would be a field to enter your new email addy, anoce entered, user clicks submit, and their account gets updated with the new addy.

If the later is not possible, then it would be a link to their usercp.
