It should work unless they change the MemberAction Dropdown name.

I meant, if it's image, what we should use after @? Or user registers with some username and after that he supplies some image?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused what's actual username and where other users could find it, as on image could be everything and certainly not something correlating with actual username.

It will not change the username but it will change musername (Colored username) in the php code the next version will be compatible with any mod, so you would still write @ username only thing wrong about my mod is they can put what ever thay want for a username pic.

Excellent mod. I tested it out with my moderators and they love it. It works like a charm and adds some color and professionalism to our forum. I will likely allow our members with over 1,000 posts to use it first to eliminate "they can put what ever thay want for a username pic" as we know we can trust them. Is it possible to add a setting for that - min posts to use. It would be easier than creating a new user group.

And the @username works just fine using mentions. Only thing I noticed is when you edit a post and hit save the page reloads and the user image defaults back to text. Hit refresh again and the image comes back. Trivial really. This is one nice mod and thanks for creating it. Job well done, my friend.

I will try to add a min post count to the next version it will also have a choice for username pic everywhere or Just Profile, PM's, Post and member list usernames.

Where users easily could see actual username instead msuername? So that they could use it for mentioning...

I'm going have to test out [DBTech] Advanced User Tagging v3 (vB4) to see what you guys are talking about but Alan_SP you don't even have this mod downloaded so why so many questions of if my mod work with [DBTech] Advanced User Tagging v3 (vB4)

Firyou 07-01-2014 12:44 PM

I tried this on a clean installation of VB 4.2.0 PL4 and it still does the blank UserCP page. I'm not sure whats wrong, it looks like an amazing mod btw :)

Justinphx 07-01-2014 09:33 PM

I use [DBTech] Advanced User Tagging v3 (vB4) and this mod works fine with it. User tagging is just typing @USERNAME in a post and that user will receive a notification he was mentioned. This mod does not replace a user name with a image everywhere... just in the postbit (for now) so has no affect with Advance User Tagging.

Because I like idea behind this mod. On the other hand, DBTechs mod is very useful and important (at least for me and my users, who often use mentioning), so if users couldn't easily know usernames to mention them, I won't use your mod.

And yes, downloading, installing, testing and learning all things related with some mod could took a lot of time. So I rather ask you, author of the mod how your mod affects certain things.
