So is this going to overwrite my existing board if I do the upgrade, as in I lose my custom template colors, pics, background, etc?

Yes

Since when do you loose custom templates and images during an upgrade? Presuming your not storing your custom images in the default images folder. (Which custom styles wouldn't normally do.)

Even if you were, storing your custom images in the default images folder, upgrading would not cause you to loose them, as it will only overwrite images that are the same in the old folder, and the new one.

Well all I can find is the entire download. Where is the patch... I'm willing to try that...

It should be in your customer area, select the option, More Download Options (Use this to access earlier versions of vB and also Alpha/Beta versions if available)

4.2.1 Patch Level 1 is the last patch level

pityocamptes 10-10-2013 02:59 AM

Ok, so 4.2.2 is not a patch? I have 4.2.1 so is that basically it? Thanks again.

ozzy47 10-10-2013 03:02 AM

Correct, 4.2.2 is a update, as long as you are running 4.2.1 Patch Level 1 you are fine, if you are running, 4.2.1 then you should upload the files for the patch.

pityocamptes 10-10-2013 03:11 AM

Where would I know if I have patch level 1 currently running? Any issues with this as far as mods, etc?

ozzy47 10-10-2013 03:12 AM

No issues that I can remember, look in your footer to see your version, or in your ACP, very top line under the browsers address bar.

pityocamptes 10-10-2013 03:17 AM

it says 4.2.1

How do I install the patch?

As has been repeatedly said, in the customer area.
