Well, you can always go to each line that's mentioned in the warning and take out the '&'. For example, change

                $mail =& vB_QueueMail::fetch_instance();

to
Code:
                $mail = vB_QueueMail::fetch_instance();

I'd have to guess that that's an unrelated error, but I don't know why that would happen.
