FYI... Enthusify retains a 10% Performance Fee

This first release of the software retains a flat 10% of the sale price of an item if the buyer and seller use the built-in payment processing. Enthusify splits that fee with the forum owner. For example, if a buyer buys an item for $100 USD, the seller will receive $90. The forum owner will receive $5.

We are currently working with our beta partners to design a more flexible fee structure. Elements of the forthcoming release include...
  • A tiered fee structure than decreases as the selling price increases.
  • The ability to customize fees for each usergroup.
  • The ability to choose what you charge above Enthusify's minimum fees.
Enthusify's minimum fees go toward covering credit card interchange fees, security, customer service, and continued software development.

The current flat fee is 9%-37% less than what a seller would incur trying to sell on eBay+PayPal. The forthcoming tiered fee will yield even more savings for forum members.

Thank you for the information!

Thanks for considering the plugin. At this time Enthusify natively supports the English language and the USD currency. Support is forthcoming for other languages and currencies.

We have some geographically focused partners who use the tool to beautify their listings. Sellers indicate their preferred payment or communication method. It is not required to run payment through the tool. It is merely a convenient option for some.

I just updated post #6 with a bit more clarity and specificity.

I would love to use this mod, however 14 days to release payment for goods is simply unacceptable for my members. If I already have my own payment processing system, is there any way to not use the Enthusify credit card processing?

We have an upcoming release that will reduce the 14 day escrow. We plan to release a feature that will allow the buyer and seller to confirm the transaction is complete in order to trigger the release of funds. Interestingly, for some of our partners with more international audiences, 14 days is not enough.

While the payment processing system is embedded into the tool - nothing about the tool requires a buyer/seller to use it. A seller could indicate in his/her listing that PayPal payment or some other form of payment is preferred.

You are welcome to install the plugin and try it out. There is a way to install the plugin and test it without exposing it to your membership.

Bug identified.

We just pinpointed a bug for users of IE8 and IE9. Users in those browsers can not add photos to their listings. We are working on a fix.

New fee!

I am excited to announce that we reduced our fee to 3% per successful transaction for our beta partners. A forum owner can charge anything he/she wants on top of that.

Chad, it was great to great to meet you at ForumCon and I look forward to checking out the new demo and trying Enthusify out on my site. :)

For those of you that have large, nationwide forums, a product like Enthusify or Styckyd will revolutionize the moderation of your classifieds sections. I've met both founders of the respective systems and they're both well-versed with what our needs are as forum administrators and the markets we serve.

UPDATE: We just fixed a bug that prevented users of IE 8/9 from uploading photos to their listings. The fix automatically propagated to all installations of the plugin. No action is required if you have the plugin installed.
