Nothing will show in the admin cp unless there are updates with his mod. No need to have a box or anything show if there are no updates.

I'll stick with his as it only runs via cron once a day which is more than enough. Checking on every page load will slow things down way too much especially if there are a lot of products.

Good work on yours, though, as I'm sure there are those that will use it.

This mod doesn't show anything if there are no updates either, right? Because I don't see anything.

And yeah, limiting it to once a day would be nice.

The mod disappeared from my admin homepage once i updated the available updates.

hmm everytime i reload the front page, it takes well over 1min. is there anyway you can do it once a day?

This is very useful, but should not be in the home page, it should be a link in the menu.
