excuse me for my english :S

Currently vBSSO provides a way to synchronize only the entities required for single sign-on. If you would like to synchronize other entities like posts, etc, you are welcome to submit a feature request on vBSSO website.

Is this a wordpress bridge?

Not really a bridge in terms of the bridge originally. That's like an single sign-on standard provided on vBulletin side, where 3rd party is able to implement vBSSO API to connect your platform like well known WordPress or your own website developed using custom technologies on your own.

Yes, we do. You are welcome to give a try an "Avatars" feature in this WordPress version. vBSSO WordPress plugin fetches and displays vBulletin avatars easily.

If you are interested in other features, you are welcome to submit your request to us through vBSSO website.

Platform shared key is vbulletin api key, the keys should be identical to establish connection between two platforms. It's not necessary to specify username and password if you do not have Basic Apache Authorization enabled. Just leave these last fields empty.

If you have any issues please contact us though http://vbsso.com/request-new-feature/ page and our support will help you.

Thanks for helping to improve the product!

With Joomla or Wordpress, there are problems with integration:
  1. how to get all content from both systems in one new content overview?
  2. how to get usergroups and usergroup permissions working in the CMS?
  3. how to get it in one integrated design?
  4. how to let the CMS refer to the vbulletin profile?
  5. how to use one editor?
  6. how to let the CMS show the vbulletin avatar?
Its great that you are solving the avatar problem.

What do you think about the other problems? Do you plan to add functionality that will resolve these issues?

Hi Alfa, this project was developed for our community (http://www.diabetesdaily.com) with a vision of having a flexible SSO system. We've open sourced and shared it so that others can use it and extend it freely. This community has given an enormous amount to us and we wanted to return that it in a substantial way. If we can save even one person a few hundreds hours of development and testing time, I will fall be very happy.

Some of your requests, like 1, 3 and 5, go beyond the goals of a single signon system. In our eyes, a good SSO can connect multiple systems and provide the plumbing. Items like providing access to usergroup permissions and avatars fall cleanly within that scope. Making two programs function as one by integrating designs and surfacing content jointly goes beyond what we think an SSO should do.

That said, there is a wonderful opportunity to extend this vBSSO into a full blown API for vB. I don't know if that's the direction that we want to go (it's something that vBulletin really should have done a while ago), but it's a worthy goal.

If you were interested in hiring us to create additional addons, we are able to do so and could open source the end product so others can utilize it. Even better, we'd love to see some dedicated members of the community jump in and help extend this project. We are happy to give feedback and support to anyone that wants to make it happen.
